Oh, hello. I think I've done this thing right.

[A youngish red head was looking around herself, the interior of the ship clear in the background. She's in some hallways somewhere.]

Well, this is a bit sad to say but, can anyone direct me to the labs? Sorry, I should introduce myself first. Lily Evans here, I guess I'm your new lab support personnel. Blimey if I know what all that entails but, I was always a fair hand at potions.

Right, well then if anyone could be so kind, pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Very much, it's completely mad, and free and wonderful. My friend Sev, [and there was a pang of regret, old wounds still hadn't healed.] I had a friend who had told me what it would be like and it all sounded impossible But when I got there it was all true. Magic and creatures and feasts and possibility!

Underfunded.

Seems you ended up well despite that.

I think that depends on who you ask. But yeah, I've done okay. Whether it was because of or in spite of myself, I don't know.

Anyway, do you have your quarters yet?

Yes, those I found. I spent a good deal of time resting and getting my mind settled.

Who else have you met on the ship?

I ran into the Captain and a fellow named Tyrion.

Furiosa is pretty great. Tyrion... likes to tease.

She seems to be, after that first moment. She makes an impressive figure. [She grinned about Tyrion.] He's up against stiff competition, James Potter takes great personal joy in making my life misery and he's in the fleet as well.

The... snow... boy?

[gifted_witch]

Snow? I'm not sure where that comes from, but he's a dark haired, full of himself, wizard about this high, [she gestured to James' approximate height] and he thinks he's the complete end.

If it's the guy I'm thinking of, he made it snow inside one of the other ships.

That sounds like Potter, he likes to show off his magic and play pranks.

[takeabow]

It wasn't a bad change of pace.

[gifted_witch]

Don't tell him that, it'll only encourage him.

Don't worry, I won't. I know the type.

How he ever talked Remus into being friends with him I'll never know. Remus is a decent bloke, nice and smart, he's kind. But Potter and Black they are terrors. but Black's not here so maybe that'll tone him down a bit.

I met Remus, too. He seems really great.

He is, bit sickly. Always coming down with something, but he never complains. I think he could do with a bit of the ego Potter has to spare.

Maybe things will change here.

I hope so, he really is a very dear boy. I don't think anyone has ever really encouraged him as he should. Forever in the shadow of his wealthy friends, and he has every bit as much talent as they do and twice the intelligence, he just get's overlooked.

So even with magic, some things stay the same.

I think human nature is what it is, magic or no. There will always be some who want to rise above others and there will always be some who refuse to let them.
