The cargo holds are full of mysterious crates! The crews are filling beyond capacity with new faces! Official alerts are informing the passengers that they are signed to contracts that they've never agreed to! They are docking at the dazzling FS Starlight, but are flat broke!

[Even knowing Mikleo as well as he does, Sorey still gets that thrill of excitement whenever he finds something that really gets his friend pumped. Well, also because he's also super pumped to check it out.]

Suddenly this place doesn't entirely suck. Mikleo gives himself a whole three seconds to consider it, then pushes himself off the fountain's edge, dusting crumbs off his pants.]

We'll have to come back here later, as well. There's still plenty of park left that I haven't seen yet.

[And, you know. It's nice. With the hand not holding the sandwich, he brushes his hand lightly over the water's surface... then casually wipes the hand - now cold and wet - on the back of Sorey's neck. Did you miss him, buddy?]

GWAH- Mikleo... [YOU LITTLE SHIT THAT'S COLD

Well Sorey is not gonna let that slide, so he sticks half his arm in the fountain and flails a general spray of water in his direction. Not that it'll bother him, being a water seraph and all, but it's the principle of the thing.]

[nerdeology]

[Mwahaha. Yes, go ahead Sorey, start a water fight with the water seraph. (You know, ignoring the fact that Mikleo technically started it.)

Dancing backwards a step or two to avoid the worst of the splash, Mikleo gestures with a hand, calling up a small waterspout to get him right in the face.]

[monolike]

to passersby it looks like sorey is just being an idiot until water just rises up magically and bitchslaps him in the face. then it's weird because this strange yelling kid tackles the air to the ground, kneels over it and starts tickling.

people pick up their children and start leaving

the police are probably being called

but sorey is going to tickle mikleo and nobody can stop him]

Say it! Say it or I never stop!

[nerdeology]

[Mikleo wriggles and writhes beneath him like a snake, trying hard - and failing - not to laugh as he alternates between batting at Sorey's hands and tickling Sorey back.]

As if- hah- as if I would!

[monolike]

All right. Just know that you've left me with no other choice. [Sorey pins down Mikleo's shoulders, leans right over his face annnnd starts to let a gob of spit dangle.

YOU ASKED FOR IT]

Don't you dare!!

Fey it! [Sorey manages around the spit gob. HE'LL DO IT. HE'LL SPIT RIGHT ON YOUR FACE.]

[nerdeology]

[NOOOOOOOO no no no no no no OH GOD OKAY FINE

Mikleo closes his eyes and leans back as far as he can into the grass, like he could melt right into it, reciting as quickly as his voice will allow.]

[PLEASE INHALE YOUR DISGUSTING GOB OR HE'S NOT FINISHING, YOU LITTLE SHIT]

[Sorey does just that with really gross slurp, because he knows Mikleo won't finish if it drops even accidentally.] Go on, [he says, grinning. Heh. It's not often he can get Mikleo to recite the Penalty Poem. He's gonna savor this for a long while.]

[nerdeology]

[Mikleo glowers up at him, resisting for a moment just shy of unsafe before he relents and continues. He can handle plenty of things, but the threat of spit is a well-known weakness, unfortunately.

Doesn't stop him from reciting the poem in the most bored, reluctant tone he can muster.]

Alight on me, lord, anoint me anew.
For I am a pleb, a cur, a fool.
May your blessings fall o'er my unworthy head.
Show mercy, my lord, to your eternal friend.

[His hands are definitely wiggling out of sight, though. Don't think he's letting you get away scot free.]

[monolike]

I suppose I can show you mercy, [Sorey says, practically glowing with triumph. He's tormented Mikleo enough and so, like a fool, he lets down his guard and climbs off of his friend to free him.]

[nerdeology]

I suppose I should be thankful.

[Mikleo rolls over and stands up, casually dusting himself off like he hadn't just been trounced. While he's doing that, he subtly flicks his wrist- and the small bucket's worth of water floating above Sorey's head drops.]

[monolike]

[The cops show up right about when Sorey recovers from the shock. And, surprise surprise, he's the only one who gets berated for 'roughhousing and swimming in a public fountain.' It's only because of his extreme prostration that they let him off without any charges, but he does have to vacate the premises immediately.

Sorey tries his absolute darnedest to ignore Mikleo, wringing out his cloak on their way to the datary.]

[Please. You think the silent treatment is going to bother Mikleo, the seraph who is ignored by 99% of the population like, all the time? He's got this down to a freaking art.]

Okay, maybe it's a little harder to do with Sorey than everyone else.]

I hope you're not waiting for me to apologize.

Of course not.

[he's not...really mad. but he is curious to see if mikleo actually would apologize. for a little while.]

[nerdeology]

Well, good. Because you're definitely the one who tackled me.

[If you'd just stuck to splashing water at nothing like a normal crazy person this surely would not have happened.]

[monolike]

I was just asking for it then. [turns his head so mikleo can't see his smile. it's probably obvious in his dumb voice anyway, dang it]

[nerdeology]

They certainly thought you were.

[Silly humans, taking everything so seriously. Not like seraphim at all!

And he can definitely hear that smile in Sorey's voice, and it's very satisfying.]

[monolike]

You know, I probably can't go back to that park for a while. [nudges his side] Since that's your fault, you're going to have to make it up to me and keep me entertained.

[nerdeology]

[Mikleo scoffs faintly, his voice taking on the bored, flat tone he uses to imitate Sorey.]

"Oh no, I have to spend hours at the library with my best friend, what a terrible fate."

[monolike]

[Sorey does a little dance, outwardly squirming with satisfaction. Yeah, he's already over it. Annoying Mikleo is really rewarding sometimes.] And you're going to make the books float and we'll probably get kicked out of there too.

No doubt. You've cleverly deduced it, my new mission- to make sure that you're evicted from every interesting locale on the station.
