No, it doesn't really make a lot of sense. But there could still be a globe of it.

Anakin told me there's a flower planet. The flowers are as tall as buildings and sometimes people fall inside them and die.

[...which possibly gives a semi-skewed perspective of what kind of people Suzie's been talking to in her downtime, BUT YOU KNOW.]

If there's a flower planet there could be an eyeball planet.

[Okay, Caesar is beyond not helping. Joseph opts to punish him by letting him go completely to hold Suzie with both arms again. Quit it.]

No way. Flowers are whole living things. Eyeballs are just part of a living thing. Those are two completely different things, [he pauses to kiss Suzie's temple,] trust me.

[He's speaking with authority, but let's be honest, his evidence for support is comic books.]

Why are you talking to someone who talks about flower death buildings?

[Make better friends, Suzie. Friends like these two characters, who have never committed any sins.]

Because I was sick, and he's been to more space than I have, and I wanted to know if there was a flower planet because we were still on the ice one and it was just all cold and salty.

[HOORAY, SHE'S BEING SNUGGLED, TODAY SUZIE WINS]

...Jojo, you keep missing.

[She tips her head around and back, craning her neck in an attempt to raise her eyebrows at him.]

Hmm?

[He sure is gonna pretend like he doesn't know what she's talking about. Caesar can handle the intense vetting of her friends on his own for a minute.]

Oh, [Joseph laughs a little,] I got you.

[Joseph kisses her cheek and grins at her teasingly.]

There you go!

[Um, no way. This is a lot more fun. He's just going to relax against this very stupid boy and watch Suzie get huffy in about point five seconds.]

Hmm, what do you think. Was that on target?

[ragazzina]

[How well they know her. How easily she is provoked into an indignant sort of pout.]

If that was supposed to be on target, then I don't know if you ought to be landing ships anymore...

[She says, as she proceeds to tip her head all the way back and purse her lips.]

But I'll let you try again!

[Okay, honestly, who gave Suzie the license to be this cute? Ridiculous. Joseph snickers while she pouts.]

Okay, okay. I bet I can figure this out. Give me a second.

[Joseph looks at her thoughtfully for a moment before leaning in. He's close like he might actually kiss her on the lips right away, but of course he has to tease and leans back again with a thoughtful hum. No, no that's clearly not right. Hmm... Wait! He's got it! She must want her nose kissed! He leans in again, this time seemingly intent on kissing her nose. And he does, but not without kissing her on the lips before she can start pouting too much. He's not that mean.]

Ahh . . . you took pity on her.

[Well, it was about time, he supposes. She was so cranky, and she should always be smiling. Maybe they can make up for it by piling smile onto smile now.]

[So he leans in and kisses her, too, a perfect echo of Joseph's, before leaning against Joseph's shoulder again in contentment.]

[She's all ready to turn up that pout, really she is — and never moreso than when she thinks she's just about to be kissed properly and then Joseph makes a detour to land on her nose instead. So she does in fact treat them to a little yelp of protest, and a wriggle of discontent, but then all of a sudden the world is set right again, a proper kiss from Joseph and an unexpected one from Caesar chasing it, and then all of a sudden pouting goes right out the window in favor of something else.

In the aftermath, she's left with her cheeks pink and her eyes dreamy and distant; there are always still these little moments of adjustment, of settling-in when it's the three of all of them together, and this past one has just proved wonderful and strange — that sometimes, unexpectedly, the one kiss she anticipates will end up being two, and that nothing about it feels unnatural or jumbled-up. On the contrary, it feels natural and easy, like something she always ought to have known but simply was never aware of until recently.

Which, for all practical purposes, ends up meaning that for a few seconds she just sits there, very still and a little dazed in the best possible way, floating off on her own thoughts and probably in need of some reeling back in.]

Ah...

[nextlineis]

[While Caesar settles back in against Joseph's shoulder and Suzie's lost in a momentary daze, Joseph kisses the top of Caesar's head with a grin because he loves them both and all of this is such a good thing for each of them. And they're happy, he thinks. All of them are happy because of the other two.]

I think maybe we spoiled her a little too much, Caesarino. Look at her.

I'm looking.

[He sure is looking. Why wouldn't he look, if she's going to be that adorable? Completely unfair. He spares a glance up at Joseph all the same, though, and then leans up to kiss his cheek, because he thinks that will make it even, probably, or maybe just because he wants to.]

We spoiled her the exact right amount. Right, Suzie?

[And he takes her hand in his and squeezes lightly in an attempt to bring her back to them.]

Shhh, I'm concentrating...

[She's not, but it's a nice attempt. She closes her eyes for a moment, letting her focus wander back to Caesar's hand and Joseph's warmth behind her, and at length reopens them again.]

Ah, you two are really dangerous when you work together...!
