[ He nudges her shoulder with two fingers. Mimicking her: ]

Oh, c'mon. If I'm wrong, you just have to go on a date with the blue guy.

Hey, the blue guy's a gentleman. [Which is to say, boring. Another reason not to want to go.]

[Fiona doesn't like betting or wagers. But she also likes fun. And at the moment, she's cruising for a distraction.]

Okay, but if I win, what do you have to do?

[ He shrugs, spreads his hands in a "I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT THE CLOTHES ON MY BACK" gesture ]

I don't know, what do you want?

[Ah, she knows that gesture well.]

You'll... [Her smile curves sharply.] You'll just owe me one.

[ He laughs and shakes his head. ]

No. No. No. I wasn't born yesterday. You have to be specific.

[goodjob]

Hey, if you were born yesterday, you'd still be driving, right? [He was flying and / or flying before he was a zygote, isn't that what he said? (No, obviously not. Fiona doesn't know what a fucking zygote is.)]

You're the one who wants to prove it. Those're my terms.

[ He gives Fiona flat look and continues to shake his head. He recognizes a shitty joke, mostly because he makes a lot of them himself. ]

Fine. Don't believe me, but I'll have you know that I only slowed down because you got caught.

Oh, so you're the gentleman, now? [She clearly doesn't believe him. Her opinion of him is too high-- in that very canny way that has nothing to do with morals or intelligence and everything to do with knowing a bullshitter when you see one-- to believe he'd be that kind for someone he barely knows.] Thought you were some kinda drag racing expert.

[ Excuse you, he is that kind to someone he barely knows. He just also happens to be a dick. It's a new universe!! You can be a kind dick if you want!! ]

Well, I can't let you take the full glory. Not when I'm an accomplice.

Hey, I'm a first timer, here. [She doesn't make a 'be gentle with me' joke here because he's from a kid's show, you perv.] All the flashy cars and high speeds went to my head. You're supposed to be the responsible Jedi.

[sandhate]

[ He laughs. Him, the responsible Jedi? Anakin rubs his neck and looks around for a distraction until he got fed up with himself. ]

Sorry to disappoint. If you're looking for a responsible Jedi, you're in the wrong company. Obviously.
