Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

Naruto had worked it out pretty quickly.

After learning about the other ships and that he would get a chance to have a 'place' on one of them, only to find out that of all things he was able to fly the things, he'd struggled to sleep. The excitement of actually being on board one of the ships was almost too much for him, but like everything else, he didn't let it get him down.

Ten minutes on the ship and he'd already successfully located the cockpit, and is more than happily sitting in front of the controls. It's where he'll stay... until someone decides to question him about it.

It's probably better to do it sooner, rather than later - because he's planning a course for the SS Huntress.

What co-ordinates you got your ship at?

[Dezel is pretty used to being ignored. However, now that there's new people on the ship, he has to give up the little square of bunk space he'd been hiding in. While invisible. Look, some people on this boat are Really Annoying.

Regardless, he's here to creep on people, especially if they're new. He's trying to judge what the hell is up with Naruto. Normally this would mean introducing himself, but instead he's just... hovering behind him, casting a long shadow and being generally as intimidating as possible.]

Where do you think you're taking us?

[He's not expecting a response, but maybe if he hangs out next to him long enough, he'll overhear something useful.]

[Naruto had spent a few minutes getting accustomed to his bunk before deciding that the space was too crowded, and on top of that he had something important to do. Talking to Sasuke over the network would never be enough and until they were face to face he likely wouldn't settle.

As for Dezel, he'd vaguely registered someone coming into the cock pit behind him, but was too intent on his goal to bother speaking up until he was spoken to.]

Er... No one seemed to want anything else, so I got this friend, Sasuke. He's on some other ship called the Huntress so I figured we'd go.

[Which is when he pauses from his calculations, turns around to look and stares right up into Dezel's face.]

Do you know how to get their co-ordinates?

[Shit, not as planned. Dezel is surprised enough that he straightens up immediately. There's no doubt that Naruto can see him.]

No, I don't. But you can take a shuttle. If you take the whole ship, you'll just inconvenience everyone.

[If there's anything he finds particularly weird about this guy ~~besides the usual weird stuff~~, it's the way he acts like he hadn't expected him to turn around.

So, Naruto does turn back right away, choosing to take a little time to weigh up his thoughts about his new ship mate.

Right. He would be taking this guy too. A quick glance around him, which result in Naruto almost slipping out of his seat and he leans back, offering a one shouldered shrug.]

[Dezel steps back just a little to avoid contact. Nothing personal, he just doesn't like being touched, and if Naruto is about to fall out of his chair then that's a possibility.]

Forcing everyone to go along with your whims won't make your stay easier.

Besides, not everyone can fly shuttles to get to where they need to be. And some of us were visiting the station we were docked at.

He'll just forget the whole backing up thing. The other stuff, he can't ignore. It's entirely the reason why he scrambles slightly to turn around in his seat, pointing an accusatory finger in Dezel's direction.]

Where's the stupid shuttle?

[He seems to remember a second later, as if he'd temporarily forgotten that the shuttles even existed despite his augment, and he turns back, flicking another set of switches until it's clear the engines are powering down and not readying for some kind of take off.]

[Dezel doesn't even flinch. He's the calm and cool type, or he tries.]

The cargo bay. If you had looked around before you jumped into that chair, you'd have known that.

[Plus, Hera seems like she doesn't want to share the pilot's seat. Hera is like... the one person so far who's earned a smidge of respect from him.

He scoffs and steps aside, just in case Naruto is tempted to knock him over on his way from the chair to the hallway.] How can someone like you even see me?

You could. I'm on the station, though, not my ship. But usually people prefer if you take a shuttle to go somewhere else instead of driving the whole ship around, you know.

You sent this to everyone? I would think your sensory abilities wouldn't fail you so quickly but my ship is currently docked at the station.

If you want to see this place and your ship isn't docked, you should take one of the shuttles. Your augment can help you figure that out, can't it?
