[ It's another day, another planet for the Drift Fleet to explore. Whether it be relaxing in the landing field, checking out the spa (and subsequently getting urged to enter the woods), or taking on the Enchanted Forest's game, there's enough to do for stir-crazy Fleet members.

Just remember one thing: make it look good. ]

[Crowley hates everything about nature. He did not realise how much he hated it, until cities became a Thing. He is very much a city sort of demon. Give him noisy, smelly streets and bright lights any day over chirping birds and stupid nature things.

But Tek had manipulated him out of the warmth of the nest to go wandering. He looks distinctly unimpressed, and keeps making noises to voice his disgust.]

This is stupid.

[never in his life has he had such a boring bedmate, so he is determined to unearth the interesting creature that he knows must be in there somewhere. so, he's trying to cross the field as quickly as possible to get to the bathhouse, leading the demon along by the hand.]

Stop being a baby. You'll love it, I promise. It has all of your favorite things.

[not that he knows what the demon's favorite things actually are. he's making a vaguely-educated guess, and filling in the rest with his own favorite things. accuracy is not important here.]

Oh? And what do you believe my favourite things are? Is there alcohol there? A warm bed? Because those are my favourite things, and I can find them on the ship.

[Still, he'll be dragged because he would be lying if he wasn't a little curious.]

Warmth, comfort, and I thought-- [pausing to glance over and eye him a little skeptically] --you're someone who knows how to enjoy the finer things in life.

[but who knows. maybe he's wrong. maybe the demon is really just a big slob.]

[He is a SNOBBY slob. That's a thing.]

Warmth and comfort in a luxurious bed. Your point?

[he sighs.]

My point is that I'm not sharing my warm, luxurious bed with someone completely boring. Now quit dragging your feet.

Well, that's just selfish of you. And I'll drag my feet all I like, because it's our bed.

If that nest was dismantled, you would not be able to reconstruct it. That makes it mine.

And the fact that I share it at all makes me a generous person. So you should stop insulting me.

[look, flawless logic. also look--cozy hot springs coming up fast.]

I could just make it into a normal bed if that were to happen.

[He scoffs, but hey, hot springs.] I wasn't aware telling you the truth counted as 'insulting'.

All I'm saying is that a little gratitude--or even just some common courtesy--wouldn't kill you.

[and only once they're good and close does he finally let go of the demon's hand.]

[He'll just slouch off.]

Oh gosh. Oh golly. How nice fo you to bring me here. I feel so fancy and loved.

[and he'll follow. like he's this guy's fun-babysitter or something.]

Good, because you should.

Aren't you sick of those short, cold showers on the ship? Don't you miss endless hot water and room to stretch out?

[That's exactly what he is.]

...Well, I have missed that, I suppose.

[yeah, he really is.]

There are big pools and baths in the bathhouse... showers and a jacuzzi too, I think. Outside here are all the springs, and some of them are very hot, if you can stand extremes of temperature.

And there's even a sauna out back, if you just like sitting and basking in drier heat.

I have literally lived in Hell. Extremes of temperature really don't bother me.

Well, if you like the really hot stuff, the outdoor hot springs are your best bet.

[and he waits a minute, obviously waiting for Crowley to pick something or set off in some direction now that they're here.]

[Crowley huffs out an annoyed sigh, considering for a moment, before stalking off to the hot springs.]

[and Tek waits for a few moments, so they aren't walking conspicuously side-by-side... and then sets of to follow.

hot springs relaxy-time, ahoy!]

[Good job, Tek.

Crowley gets to them and glances around, appreciatively.]

They're like the ones back at the castle, a little.

Oh? The magical castle had hot springs too? I'm beginning to feel jealous of this place.

[he'll hang around for a minute, but he doesn't plan on dallying too long. he's eager to get into one of those pools.]

If you're looking for the really hot ones, they're back there. They smell a little of sulfur, but that's nothing that a little shampoo can't fix.

It wasn't bad, really. For a kidnapping sentient being prone to monthly bouts of hormones...or something.

[Crowley chuckles at that, giving a shrug.]

I doubt it would do all that much damage, in the long run.

Oh, the castle was female? ...That does sound like an adventure.

[and he glances at the grey sky glooming around overhead.]

And you'd better pick a pool. Looks as though it may start snowing soon.

I had a theory she was. Most people just settled for a gender-neutral pronoun. But when something has a habit of going screwy every month...well, the parallels draw themselves.

[He grimaces at the mention of SNOW, heading over to a pool. ]

This one'll do.

[oh good. with a pool chosen, Tek immediately begins unbuttoning his jacket and working his feet out of his boots. it seems that stripping right here and slithering into the hot spring is his plan.]

I wonder if the tower that first stole me was something similar. I'd heard that it was a castle before it became the building I knew it as.

[Crowley clearly has that idea, too, but is far too lazy for conventional disrobing. With a snap of his fingers, the clothes are gone, and into the water he slips.]

Ahhh that's better.

Possibly. There were other castles. One of them was a ruined tower, too.
