Who: Everyone! All of you!

Action: Definitely!
When: Anytime during the toxic moon event!

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.
here's the main event info post for reference! have fun!]

FDR
[This is his first actual planet since he’s been brought on board and despite the fact that the ground is polluted and the population is walking around in gas masks, he’s excited to be on a solid surface again, outside of the small confined space that makes him damn twitchy.
He figures it out quickly. It’s a part of his job to adapt, to take in a culture and blend into it, and behind a functional gas mask it’s easy to fall into the crowd. But he’s not the kind of man who appreciates museums and art work, doesn’t care much about learning the culture beyond blending into it, so he spends a lot of his on the planet-side moving around. Shopping only holds his interest for so long when there’s not much he’s interested in here.
Luckily, it seems an action packed planet so there’s enough to do. But when he isn’t participating in war games, exploring seems like something to pass the time. So he heads out into the wilderness on several occasions, a totally manly fanny pack filled with essentials around his waist, with no real intentions other than to appreciate nature in a way he never had before and do something physical.]
[ooc: Find him in the city on the way out, catch him out in the wilderness, or let me know if you want to come take a wrong step and fall into a mineshaft with him!]
War Games:
Paintball: [They had him at War Games. He’s participated in a handful of them during his career, especially during his time at The Farm and he’s quick and eager to jump right into the chaos. Partying on the space station had been fun, but it hadn’t satisfied him in the way that adrenaline pumping action does.
He’s very familiar with paintball, even more familiar with a gun in his hands, and he takes to the field like a veteran. He’s not the kind of guy that works well with a team, but if he finds someone to watch his back and shoot at his side, they’ll find a very quick loyal partner, even if he’s having to stop to show them how to hold a gun or turn off the safety. So long as they don’t shoot him in the crotch after he does so.
For anyone on the other team, he’ll be quick to shoot, and for anyone who manages to avoid a shot, well, they’ve just become an interesting target that he’s willing to go all out on.]
Wilderness
He thinks he sees a human shape through the smog, and curious he makes to follow, wondering if it's a villager out to collect something and if so what, and why. As he drew closer, though, he thought he recognized this particular silhouette, even with the gas mask. The flash of gold hair and bright blue eyes sort of sealed it, but he had to laugh at the fanny pack. Really FDR? ]
Is that a fanny pack? Really?
no subject
His lips twist into a frown, not that Kirk can see it and he glances down at the leather fanny pack hanging off the side of his waist and he shrugs. He's always about fashion. It's important to him. But functionality always comes first. Something strapped to his waist doesn't get in the way of his hands, he doesn't have to worry about it sliding off a shoulder, or making him bulkier and easier to grab. It's small enough that it doesn't warp his silhouette and as a sometimes thief, that's important to him.
But he doesn't care to explain any of his reasoning.]
Itching to explore, are you, Captain?
no subject
What can I say? It's part of my job, and I am stricken with the curse of wanderlust.
[ He shrugged and scratched the back of his neck. ]
I was gathering some samples to take back to the ships too, see if the earth can tell us more about what's happened here. What about you?
[ He hadn't taken the slicker version of himself for a nature enthusiast. ]
no subject
So what, you think you're gonna help these people out while you're here? That's noble of you. [As for him. Well. He shrugs.]
Staving off boredom. Can't fight in the war games constantly.
no subject
I don't know that I can solve the entire problem, but if I can help give the people here a hint on how to do it themselves, I'll do that. I don't feel right just leaving this situation as is.
[ He's that type of person, FDR. He couldn't just turn away from these people. They were making it work here, but it was wrong - twisted and wrong and it could be fixed, he knew it. They just had to find out how, uncover a clue. ]
Which ones have you been playing? I got forced to play the one with the pool noodle staffs and mud.
[ His brow crinkled in what could only be called a grimace, even though the mask hid the twist of his mouth. ]
no subject
Uh. All of them, really. They're pretty damn fun.
[Though he catches that grimace and his head tilts to the side slightly. Really, Kirk? He would have thought you'd enjoy smacking people with bats in the mud.]
no subject
He knew it was unrealistic to expect he could outright fix the problem in the few days or even weeks they might be here. But if he got the momentum going for the people to do it on their own... that would be enough. ]
Heh, I admit the one with the racers looks kind of cool. I've been thinking about entering, but I can't tell if you need your own racer or not.
[ In which case he couldn't afford that. But it would be fun. And he sees that look, FDR. ]
The one I did play was not my choice. Some guy got mad I bumped into him and decided to take it out with a pool noodle.
[ He shrugged, because he had beaten him, but only after taking a dive into the mud once. ]
I'm not sure you can count playing chess as a war game, either.

let us tumble into a mineshaft homie | 29th
... Granted he got sick as hell, but he'd been sicker.
He cautiously peers around one of the tunnels down into the mines, paying mind to go around it in his wanderings. Yeah, no thanks, he doesn't want to go tumbling through anything that dark and mysterious. That's a long fall, anyway. Best keep a wide diameter around it.
... Who is that wandering out there, and why do they make him feel like turning into an ostrich and shoving his head in the dirt. Oh, say it isn't so...]
no subject
It makes him miss Tuck. In his time here he still hasn't found someone that he feels that kind of bond with, and the paintball games only remind him of that.
But it also makes him a little...eager to find people out wandering too. Someone to walk along with even if there's not much to say. So when he spots a silhouette through the smog, he heads towards it.
And when he sees exactly who it is, because he'd recognize that forehead anywhere, he grins and picks up his pace a little.]
Hey, NotTuck! [And he waves, because why not be excessive, as he approaches him. Stops just a few feet away.] Having fun?
no subject
He rolls his eyes and turns back toward FDR after a moment of considering a flee. Well. At least their last meeting wasn't as bad as the first few were. Granted he still doesn't seek the guy out for anything, but he at least doesn't always lock him out or run off. Like. He only does that half the time now.
He looks around at the question, looking at FDR like he's clearly eaten a hallucinogenic plant out of a particular radioactive desert.]
... Fun.
[I guess????
Max doesn't have fun very often, pal.]
What're you doing out here?
no subject
Oh, you know. Enjoying the view.
[Sarcasm, NotTuck, gonna have to learn it sooner or later.] What about you? Looking for something to maim and cook? Or you just a nature-lover?
[Also, expect someone by your side now, Max, as you wonder. He's got nowhere else he needs to be.]
no subject
He lumbers along with that signature hitch in his step of the slightest proportion. He knows better at this point to out-maneuver him in the middle of nowhere in a toxic forest. Yeah, no, not a chance. He'll have to deal. Unfortunately. Tragically.]
Both. Ate a lizard, didn't get any negative side effects.
So the wildlife might be good. Can cook it all anyway.
[Yes, I am testing the wildlife for toxins.
Hunting is very important, you know.]
no subject
And he's even using words. And having a conversation. Even if FDR wasn't actually expecting a conversation about hunting the wildlife here. Because eww.
And he turns his scrunched up expression toward NotTuck, far more interested in showing his disdain that watching his footing.]
Are you crazy? What if that shit poisoned you? You could have died, man! Or at least gotten a really upset stomach. And it probably tasted like mud. Right? Tell me I'm right. It tasted like mud.
[Not that important when they have cafeterias!]

so formally introduced or not, she will slip her arm and entwine it with his just on the edge of the city. her mask is adorned with faux flowers and her tone is bright. ]
I do believe I found you just in time.
no subject
Well, if it isn't my queen to be, hm? Up for a little mischief?
[Because nothing good can come from roaming around the polluted wilderness, right? Not that he'd even consider saying to this particular company.]
no subject
[ her tone is scolding but it doesn't hold when mixed with the way her smile turns more brilliant at the suggestion ]
I cannot imagine why you would think me able of such. I am a lady, after all.
[ and with a prim and airy and pointedly absurd tone she adds ]
Mayhaps I simply fancied a walk. It has been so long since we had a solid ground to walk upon, however tainted.
no subject
Well, you've found yourself a good partner for that. I've got this walking thing down. And I do like solid things under me.
[And he winks at her before leading her into the trees that he's curious to explore.]
no subject
[ asked as they walk inside. she is not scared, does not seem like it and does not feel it. if anything, there is avid curiosity and excitement there. women do not usually enjoy such opportunities, after all ]
Odd beasts?
War Games;; hope this is okay
He sees FDR, moving quickly around a pillar. New target acquired. His footsteps are silent as he aims to get the jump on him. As soon as he's behind, his gun is raised, just above the stranger's shoulder. He fires at another player intending to blindside them. ]
Never leave your back exposed.
Awesome!
But then when would you get your chance to shine? [A thanks is probably in order, but if they're on the same team that's just the expectation isn't it?]
That was a...[Because he knows enough about shooting guns to know just how impressive of a shot that was. A little lower and he'd be pretend missing an arm.] A decent shot. You practiced at this?
no subject
You could say that.
no subject
It's really the worst thing to say to a nosey CIA agent.]
Yeah? You're really going to end it there, mystery man?
no subject
[ And that's all he's going to offer at the moment. Ask away, CIA man. He's had worse interrogations- Winter is friends with Peggy.
...That, and, you know. Soviet spy for 70 years. But that's neither here, nor there. ]
no subject
[But standing still and conversing in the middle of a paintball game doesn't come without a distraction. Though it hardly takes an effort to shoot the asshole trying to sneak up on them between the trees.
More important things going on. Like learning about his new friend here.]
