[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

[ With impressive upper body strength, Charles pushes himself off the ground, gripping the handles of his wheelchair and turning himself around so he can sit on it. He lets out a sharp exhale, muffled by the mask. ]

Not a problem. [Though once he was up on his chair and a bit more stable, Remy took the time to link up what he could see of Charles' face and his voice, pretty sure he recognized the right guy. The mask threw him off a little.] Ya Charles Xavier, right? [He then held out a hand.] Remy LeBeau, 'nother part of the local mutant population.

[ He shakes it, eyeing him warily. He's not sure what to think with other mutants, considering his welcome. ]

A pleasure. It's always nice to meet other mutants.

Oh yeah? Won't lie, may have spied on ya 'nd Be- [Remy cut himself off before he used the other man's codename.] Hank's introduction to the place, thought ya had more than 'nough to cope with without me addin' m' voice on top of it.

If it helps 'ny, last time I had a run in with, ah, 'ya', we had some good talks, played some chess, not a bad time.

[ He relaxes a little. Though he catches onto the mention of Hank. ]

It's nice to know there are some positive memories nearby.

Got a lot of people with a lot of strong opinions 'round here, so hate to say but ya may have to get use to it, or at least for a while 'til everything dies down. New people often cause a stir, 'specially if they recognize other versions of the person.

[ He's not bothered, not really. Though the intensity of it surprised him. ]

It's all right that they do. I simply wasn't expecting it.

It'll calm down, [Maybe.] Once the 'xcitement of ya'll showin' up simmers back down.

'nd if it don't, then that their problem. 've had to put up with a past self already creatin' a rep for me at the last place I was stuck. Took awhile to undo it with the people who counted.

[ His lips curve into a smile at the joke. ]

Or worse case, can just make it so they never remembered they had an issue with ya in the first place.

[There was a pause before Remy finished up that poor joke.] Kiddin'. Though, that 'ssumin' ya hold the same 'don't use powers 'rresponsible' kinda thing.

[ A little wry. ]

I would be far more dangerous if I didn't.

Oh, I know. [Remy hadn't seen it first hand, any form of Xavier abusing his powers, but he did have a run in with being mind controlled by Mesmero. It had not been fun, even if it had been using him to steal.] 'nd sure everyone be grateful that ya got a higher moral standard than some 'round here.

[He offered a hidden smirk through his mask.] How ya findin' the place, not that this planet be the best first example to come 'cross.

It's actually fascinating to me. It's very different from any other location I have visited in the past and being in space with all this technology is worth studying.

[ Basically, Charles will geek out about it. ]

Yeah, it's a bit of a step up for m'self, kinda stuff just see in movies 'nd tv. 've played 'round with a few of the items this one time when everyone got stuffed onto what I guess can call the 'mother ship', but that was more to see what their security was like 'nd how they were monitorin' us.

Leave the rest to better minds than m'self.

I'm sure you have plenty to contribute as well.

That all depends on who ya ask, some say smart remarks 'nd silly jokes ain't worth much, but I like to think of it more as an art form that requires preservin' despite our current situation. [Remy may be underselling himself a little, but it was all done in good humor. Plus there wasn't much call for a thief of late, bar lining his own pockets when their credits had been frozen.]

I know plenty would consider it as such.

What do you normally do?

That all depends, ya mean 'long the line of mutation, or what I actually contribute to m' ship? [After all 'what can you do' was a pretty normal line asked between mutants.

Yet Remy chose to answer both.] 'm a kinetic charger, make things go boom via touch. Ship wise I'm classified as tactical support, but haven't really had a chance to put it to work yet, sadly. No real chance to do recon or recovery, [That was a nice way of putting 'stealing'.] So far.

[ A kinetic charger. Much like Alex then. But to actually charge objects. ]

I don't suppose you could show me? But try not to blow anything too big up.

[Oh, that choice of wording just pushed Remy's buttons to be a sarcastic ass, to shoot back with poor joke about he hadn't thought about that, had planned to bring down a building, or something similar. But he bit his tongue, keeping that form of response to barely a smirk behind his mask.] Sure. Though suggest we get 'way from this area to somewhere a tough less populated, from my experience the masses ain't big on being near explosions.

[ Charles gestures. ]

[A shrug at the comment before Remy headed out to try and find a slightly less populated area without having to go out in the wildness around the city, pretty sure Charles' chair wouldn't work well on the rougher terrain. Far enough that Remy was sure they wouldn't get whatever passed as a cop on this moon, he drew a single card out from his coat, flaring it up with a charge and holding it for now.]

[ His expression lights up as he observes the card. ]

Fascinating. How can a card hold all that energy? How long? Do objects with more mass have a longer charge?

[It really was a waste of a card on his already limited stock, yet Remy allowed the charge to keep instead of pulling it back, flinging the card away from them and any others that may be around them to the most deserted section of air there was, it exploding a moment after it went spinning into the air.] It can't really, it's got a fuse on it, dependin' on how much a charge I put 'nto it. More energy, bigger bang, but less time to use it in, though I been practicing on changing that. [Despite her no longer being around, Remy was still working to the plans he and Jean Grey had made up to help him control his now unlocked and unrestrained mutation.]

As for larger objects, depends how much of a charge 'm puttin' through it again. Can put a light one through it but it kinda just works on a surface level, hold on longer 'nd can make the entire thing go up.

I knew someone who used kinetic energy, but nothing like this. It's curious to see the variations in this ability.
