[Y'all, Misty can't be the only one who hates this place, so let's all gather on the Iskaulit, safe from all that dark and rot down on the polluted moon and have ourselves a good time!

[ He holds his hands up. ]

Appearances can be deceiving. Leading requires more than just experience. It needs surety, which I no longer possess.

[Because of his student. Musta really meant a lot to him.]

Maybe you'll find it again some day. You never know.

I believe it. But for now, I wouldn't consider myself a stellar example.

In the meantime, you’re still a real good teacher. I’ve been practicin’ the meditation you taught me and it’s really helped a lot, not just with the force, but with my magic too. It’s gettin’ stronger, I can feel it.

You wanna see some of the stuff I've figured out?

By all means.

[ He's seen different forms of magic, due to the Nightsisters. But he's curious to see how someone closer to the Light Side would do. ]

Well, for one thing, I've gotten way better at telekinesis. I used to could only move little things and it took me a long time. But now look!

[She turns to stare at a large potted plant on the other side of the room. After a moment, it starts to slide across the floor, stopping neatly at Obi-Wan's feet. She's gotten better with her precision too, though she still makes mistakes, like spilling beer all over poor Remy, so she's pleased that this didn't end up with a broken flower pot.]

Impressive.

[ It certainly is, especially in a non-Force user. Though, technically, she was one. He runs a hand through his beard. ]

What were you thinking when you tried to move it?

[The corner of her mouth quirks upward in amusement.]

Well I was thinking I wanted it to move. What else would I be thinkin'?

Was that the only thing?

[She thinks for a moment.]

I guess I was hopin' I wouldn't screw up.

That tends to interrupt the flow at times. Make it less steady. Trust in the Force.

It is easier when I'm not thinking about it too much. Like, if I'm in a fight or something.

It's harder when you're imposing your will and your mind isn't focused on it. Which is why the Force tends to fight you on it.

You talk about it so differently than the witches. It was always about power and control with them.

[ He pauses at that. Control is something he aims for, but not within the Force itself. Obi-Wan considers himself a receptacle for the Force . . . a point of view that's uncommon. ]

Well, in order to be at ease, sometimes not always being in control helps.

[She nods thoughtfully, realizing it's not all that different from her belief in God and that he chose her for a reason.]

You just gotta have faith I guess. Always easier said than done though, right?

I wouldn't know.

[ He's never lost his faith. In a way, he is his faith. He embodies it completely. ]

So you never once lost faith, never once wondered if you were doin' right?

[She's incredulous, but also impressed. Her faith is strong, but it's definitely had its wobbly moments.]

I've certainly wavered and lost faith in myself. I have simply never lost faith in the Force.

[ And Obi-Wan can't entangle himself from it. ]

Guess that's why you're so bright, brighter than anyone I met. We were all too scared.

[ Uncomfortable with praise, Obi-Wan seeks to deflect it. ]

I don't think it's quite the same. My upbringing was very strict and from what I hear - very different to most people even in the Fleet. Making that comparison is fair.

All the same, doesn't make you any less bright.

[She kneels next to the potted plant and takes a vial out of her pocket, then looks up at him.]

You make me better too. I've been around too much darkness and rot, some of it's bound to sneak in. But I'm better here.

[ He glances at the vial curiously. ]

Because there's so much light?
