Been exploring down on the planet, mostly. That and just trying to keep myself busy. Or, you know, haunting the ship late at night.

Beverly mentions making a kind of workshop maybe, picking up spare projects. I think I should look more into that. I'm used to having something to do, especially being a captain. Been awhile since I haven't really had a direction.

That's probably not a bad idea. Winn has about a million projects already, so I figure I'll help him out here and there. But I'm used to, you know, saving people.

Yeah, I imagine it must be a change for you if that's your norm back home. Not to mention your powers.

It's been a transition, yeah.

I mean, there was a whole part of my life where I didn't have powers, but I had my family. Here, it's been an experience, having neither.

You seem to be doing all right, though. Not that I would expect any different from you. And I wouldn't worry about family - it's not about blood, you know. It's just about caring for people.

Oh, I know. It'd be kind of rough if I thought it was just about blood. But my adoptive sister is a big part of my life and I miss her.

I miss Spock and Bones. They're my closest friends on my ship - my CMO and my First Lieutenant.

Uh, yeah. About a year ago I got hurt really bad - like thought I wasn't going to make it bad. I blacked out, and when I woke up Leonard and Spock were there in the hospital.

Yeah, me too. About a month after I woke up though I really wished Leonard would go back to the ship though. I love that man, but he can be very fussy when he's in doctor mode.

It's all out of love, I'm sure. Though that doesn't mean that it's not the worst.

He says it is, but I think he just likes watching me squirm from time to time.

Maybe doctors need to have a little bit of sadism in them to become doctors.

Don't they take oaths that have the line 'thou shalt do no harm' or something? I think sadism should be a thing they would want to screen out during acceptances into medical school.
