[ he lingers on that kiss. ]

Sleeping alone is so overrated. [She hates it. She's been hating it for months.]

[ he could get used to seeing her look like that. actually, he's already used to it. it fills him with a sort of sense of pride, to know that he could make her look like that, after everything she's told him. ]

How did it take us this long? [Especially when she was just about ready to go for it in that closet on the moon right after kissing him for the first time. He has Pryde pride.]

[ lightly, as he kisses the top of her head. even if...it feels like their time was well spent - talking, getting to know each other, developing something real. ]

[She laughs at that.] How is this your fault? [Well, sleeping on Kara's couch and him being afraid of shuttle travel were actually big factors. But in the moment it still seems ridiculous that it is on him.]

I donno, [ he laughs ] it usually is.

[ his brain hasn't really woken up yet, rationality is too much to ask for. ]

[She kisses his cheek.] You're not an idiot. You are smart. [Kiss.] Sweet. [Kiss.] Hot. [Kiss.] And, okay, maybe kind of an idiot for putting up with me.

Getting you to think that? Is what I'll win my Nobel for.

Not so fast with your prize. Shouldn't you be arguing with me about the last one at least? Put up a fight? [Your ear is getting nibbled, Winn. Clearly, this is payback.]

Funny, I don't remember that commandment. Maybe I just wasn't expecting to be in bed with any gorgeous women so I let it slip my mind. [Touching is good.]

Oh yeah, it was right between 'thou shalt not step on her toes' and 'conjure commandments to get out of trouble'

[ he breaks into a smile that may be a touch too pleased with himself. touching is the best. ]

[ that's the first commandment. he kisses back happily, no interest in arguing with the accusation whatsoever. he's the happiest dork in dorkland right now. ]

[She's not going to want to let him go tonight, but that's tonight's problem. He already agreed to spend today with her.] What do you want to do today? And please know it doesn't have to require actually doing anything.

Same thing we do every day, Kitty. Try to take over the world! Or. A lot more of this. Actually, yeah, a lot more of this, taking over the world sounds like out-of-bed work.

It does. [In-bed snuggles are so much better.] Also, since when was taking over the world the plan? In space shouldn't it be the galaxy anyway? I'll pass on this moon.

[ he has to remind himself of the state of her world to avoid the outrage at that reference going unanswered. ]

It's too much of a hassle, anyway. I have enough projects. [ like snuggling her: his new favorite one. ]

[The real outrage if she knew the reference would be being painted as Pinky instead of The Brain!]

Too many. How about no more projects and we just kiss a lot? Besides, Kara's super hearing and X-Ray vision can only be bad for us.
