[ In her broadcast, Kara is in her PJs, hair down and glasses off. She looks like she just woke up not too long ago and the overall vibe is very "confessional vlog". She doesn't seem distressed, just a little confused, and tired—though her eternal optimism is always there somewhere. ]

Hey, so, question: On a scale from "wow that's super weird we've never heard of something like that" to "it must be a Wednesday on the Fleet", how common is it to just like, get a bunch of "new" information from home? Which, now that I think about it, is kind of a dumb thing to ask because we have implants that give us job skills training. But I'm just wondering. Uh, in the abstract? Something like that.

Anyway, I'm going to go get some coffee and food because I'm starving. Who knew that sleeping was such hard work?

[This is not what she wanted to wake up to and it feels like a punch to the gut. It's just too close to home. Too close to the person she never wants this to happen to. It's one of the reasons she was afraid to get close to Winn in the first place. That he might wake up someday and realize he's in love with someone else back home. It might have already happened. Maybe it's something Kara knows about now.

But this isn't about her or her relationship right now. It's about Kara. Her friend just had a surprising, maybe difficult thing happen, so she initiates a call. She doesn't do video because she doesn't trust her expressions right now.]

[She probably should have gone with text, but since she never chooses to text that would probably have been even more suspicious. Of course she's not answering her.]

And can I just say, you and Winn make a great couple. Especially with all the new information I got. This is such an improvement.

[Months doesn't seem too bad, but it depends on what happened during those months. She said it was a long time, so probably busy months. The second part though... There's a long pause.]

[Yeah, that's not making her feel better and Kara probably shouldn't be telling her, but she started it and now Kitty can't hold back the question.]

[It's past tense and it doesn't sound like it was a good life choice, but it doesn't make her feel better. There probably wasn't anything that would have. Kara getting more memories is just a reminder of how extremely fragile their relationship is. The Atroma can screw with it anytime they want by taking him away or showing him what he could have instead of some damaged former assassin from a broken world. It was all the holding on that hurt her so badly with Reid. Maybe she should be letting go this time.

She closes her eyes and the pause is too long again. She should say something. Anything that isn't about Winn or the way this makes her feel.]

Do you feel different? Any physical changes? Injuries? ...Recharged? [It's not that telling of a word, right? Anyone could feel recharged. It doesn't have to mean by the sun.]

I think he was mostly removed from our feud, if it helps. He didn't really know all the behind-the-scenes stuff.
