[Truly, Dany had not realized it was her, beneath all of the decoration. She wore it like armor. The only things she recognized were her russet curls and the sound of her voice.]

I trust the evening is treating you well?

[Daenerys took the girl in, finding the outfit rather well done for a costume. It was detailed and intricate, not unlike something one might see in Quarth or one of the richer parts of the Free Cities.]

I will admit that I wish I had something more familiar from home to cling to. I didn't go to parties so I have nothing to reference in this place - even the food isn't entirely familiar.

[She would have liked something sweet - perhaps lemon cakes or tarts would do. It reminded her of the tree that grew outside her window in Braavos. Even here, surely there might be lemons even if there were none on the ships?]

Were you successful in finding your lemons, Lady Stark? I was not much help in that.

Ser Allan -- a member of my crew, my lady -- has pointed out a lovely substitute on the banquet table. They are nothing like what I know from home but...they're also better than I could have expected. Have you tried them yet?
