[Dany had seen Hawke about the Caprine though the two never stopped to talk, Dany often occupied with her duties and Hawke her own. She had been down on the moon, while Dany had not. Dany had preferred to avoid the fighting pits she kept hearing about while others indulged in them and enjoyed them. It reminded her too much of home, of the slavers who made sport of common people's blood. She hoped such things did not happen here.

When Hawke approaches, Dany gives a slight nod in greeting.]

Yes, it is. So many put enough work into their costumes that I'm sure we will all be sorry to see our departure when the fleets leave again.

[Dany had sewn her own gown, but the leather work had been commissioned. She was grateful for it and wished she could find more materials just as easily.]
