[Castle quickly put together an outfit and regally swept into the masquerade ball after realizing he'd been shut up for far too long. It was time, he thought, to try moving past his fears that he was dead and one of his rare depressive, reflective moods and be social again.

His outfit was a not-to-subtle nod to the sidekick of one of his favorite caped and cowled superheroes, with black pants, a gaudy red blazer complete with an "R" (for "Richard", of course, he would tell anyone who asked) emblazoned on the chest, a black domino mask and a cape. For once, he left his loyal cleaning bots on the ship, mostly because he feared they might well work themselves into a frenzy and explode here.

So he could be found chatting, and dancing (either with a partner or nobody in particular), and eating, and generally enjoying the night.]
