There are lots of other places like this. Not that they're reality television fleets, but they have the multidimensional kidnapping part down.

And I'm fresh out of any kind of pictures. [Which is a shame because there are lots of faces she'd like to see again if only on a photograph.] I also probably don't actually know your person though I have met a lot of captains which is kind of strange.

Yeah, this is something we ought to work together on. You can get a lot more done on a team than by yourself.

No, I've always thought so too. Or at least I have since I was a teen or so. Before that I was probably too willfully independent to admit such things. [It was easy when you had such a strong support structure to fall back on if you did need someone. Once it's gone...]

I had a team that did exactly that back in my last multidimensional trap.

[What's willful independence? Is it something you eat? It was suppressed so hard in Stormtrooper training that Finn never even had a word for it until it happened to him - and even then his very first move was to seek out someone who could help him. He has a realistic view of the gaps in his own knowledge base.]

We found out that the deck was stacked against us at every turn, but that was my hypothesis from the beginning.

I think we probably did more good by giving people a sense of purpose than we did by actually accomplishing anything. But there were times we were able to help in emergencies. [That was something. And they all would have helped individually anyway, but they were able to do more organized as a team.]

If you can help--any kind of help--it's worthwhile. Because you never know when the one person you help is going to be the most important person in the whole world.
