Essentially? Start World War III. [he's usually pretty good about keeping growls out of his voice, but not this time] He was trying to goad Russia and the USA into starting a nuclear war, and in the aftermath of that, he thought that mutants would rise up and rule, while humanity died.

Not really. It's complicated. At least -- last time I saw Erik and Quicksilver together, they weren't really on the best of terms.

Oh. Er. Peter and - Erik only spoke . . . very briefly when they met. And I don't think they've spoken since, so - I can't really say?

I'll believe it. I know . . . Peter has sisters - I met the younger one, very briefly. But as for - code names, or anything like that - he's just a teenager. The only reason we met him was because of Logan.

She and...Peter [ she will not get used to calling quicksilver by his name, but perhaps it's just easier that way ] were some of the real legacy members of the Avengers. Alongside the other Hawkeye and Captain America.

Really? So they weren't X-Men? [he isn't sure what to think about that. He knows the other worlds hold entirely different histories, but at least for Peter . . . but then again, he's basing that off his own world]

I think the closest they ever got was the Unity Division. Kind of like a joint mutant and human task-force to bridge the gap that had grown between the X-Men and the Avengers, despite the occasional overlap.

Huh. [a part of him is very, very glad that Erik's children were on the right side, as opposed to . . . whatever side Erik was on in other worlds. He can't help but feel guilty about the thought, too] There's a lot of different groups in your world, isn't there.

Oodles. And a lot of people, too, who don't wanna be a part of any of them. Not that they can be blamed.
