[By the time the song is over they're both moving smoothly, confidently - he's even smiling under that half-mask. When the song ends he brings her hands together in his and squeezes them lightly.]

[Wanda looks up at him, her smile containing a mixture relief, joy and pride. She even gives his hand a little squeeze back.]

Very much so.

[She then looks around, realizing people are getting ready for the next number.]

Perhaps a brief break though before we attempt round two?

[He keeps hold of her hand, knowing full well she can read him through the contact if she wants to; he feels no need to hide his enjoyment at the event in general and of her obvious pleasure.]

Certainly. It can be a bit breathtaking, can it not?

[Wanda nods and smiles in agreement, allowing Vision to guide her off the dance floor as the next song begins.]

You are full of surprises.

[The statement almost doesn't come out loud enough to seem as if Wanda intended for Vision to hear it, but she still vocalizes the thought, her cheeks even turning a slight pink as the words escape her mouth.]

[He doesn't verbally respond, since he's not entirely sure it was meant for him to hear, but his smile does soften. Once they're out of the way, he releases her hand.]

This is more exciting than it would have been to stay at home, don't you think?

[Wanda smiles softly at that, giving a faint nod of her head in agreement.]

Yes.

[A moment later.]

Thank you for inviting me, Vision.

It's my pleasure, Wanda.

[And he finds her hand to squeeze again to show he means it.]

[After they find some open seats to rest, Wanda takes a moment to catch her breath, fanning herself with one hand. After a few seconds of this, she turns towards Vision, her question is simple and direct, but not forceful.]

Why did you invite me?

[He tilts his head to one side.]

I'm not certain I have a reason beyond that I desired to. It seemed like it might be enjoyable.

[A smile appears on Wanda's face as she looks away for a moment, before turning back to Vision.]

You could have invited someone else in the Fleet. We know each other from back home, but that did not mean you had to pick me to invite.

Yes, I suppose I could have. I could as easily have come alone.

[But he didn't, and here they are.]

[She nods her head encouragingly, hoping it will entice him to give a more thorough answer. She doesn't mean to come off as prying as she is, but it does seem as though she's looking for a certain response. Though, as to what exactly that may be, well, best of luck guessing Vision.]

Right. You could have. So, why then choose me?

[Gosh, he already admitted he doesn't really know why. Why are you making him think harder about it? Though in the end, it does boil down to just one thing.]

I want you to be happy, Wanda.

[And that may have not exactly been the bull's eye answer, but that was definitely in the inner ring. Despite the fact that she was kind of looking for a similar answer, Vision's response still manages to get a slight blush out of her and a small, embarrassed yet content, smile. She doesn't press him any further.]

Thank you, Vision.

[A moment passes before the embarrassment she's feeling gets too be a little to much to bear, and she stands up from her seat.]

I am going to grab a drink. Do you want one?

[He really, really does not have enough emotional awareness for the bulls-eye answer. But he does try, and that's more than can be said for some.]

I would like that. Thank you.

[Not so much for the drink itself, which he doesn't need, but because she offered to get it for him.]

[Wanda departs for the snack and beverage table, she returns after a few minutes with two glasses of a sparkling, orange colored drink.]

This is... what I assume is their version of champagne?

[Looking impressed and pleased, the Vision takes his glass carefully.]
