"He has been... a rock for me." Others too - Finrod not the least among them - but Daneel's steadiness and quiet support has been vital, especially in those difficult weeks after the calibrations.

"I am glad." Maglor says softly. "That comfort is one that will keep someone going, even in the darkest night."

"Indeed," she agrees softly before taking a sip of her wine. "It is much better to face such things together than alone."

"Even so." Maglor toasts her quietly with his glass. "To those who stand beside us, eh?"

She tinks her glass against his with a small smile before taking a sip of her wine. It’s no Chateau-Picard, but then, what is? It’s sweet and sends a pleasant warmth through her, so good enough. "To friends and companions."

Maglor savours his glass - it has been a long time since he could afford more than a simple ale, so any decent wine is appreciated.
