I was just comforting him. I don't think he gets much of that. He's hated and alone back home. It kind of reminds me of the time when I was homeless and being hunted. Just feeling completely alone. I mean, I don't think he's scared, but alone is its own kind of awful.

He has some kind of brain damage too. I don't know much about it, but he's lost most of his memories. I think it might be making it hard for him to make new ones too. I don't see him like that.

that gets a sad little smile from him - that...pretty much sounds exactly like him back home. here...there are so many people who are nice, and no one who's been mean yet, so he's not sure how he'd respond to someone treating him badly yet..he wants to hope that he'll deal with it better now that he has more than one real friend and some weird friendships sprinkled around it, but who can ever tell. ]

Yeah, of course. [ just tell him the big bad wolf isn't going to make an appearance in those lessons. ]

[She's still thinking about some of the other things they talked about though. Finally, she lifts herself up on an arm to better look at him.] But there is something you should know about me. If someone is in danger I'm going to jump in to try and help even if that puts me in danger too.

I know. [ and he does. and you ask why he wants to minimize danger around you. ] I got a type.

[ and maybe it's the hour, or letting go of the nerves, or the ridiculousness of that statement, or all of the above plus some other stuff - but he can't help but break into laughter, throwing one hand over his eyes to pinch the bridge of his nose. ]

[She wasn't expecting that and it definitely distracts her from any weirdness she might have started to feel from the statement itself. Though even the moment of it reminded her of how weird it must have been for him to hear about Reid. Unless this thread happened before that one because who can keep track and how are these appropriate brackets even?]

Kitty has definitely wondered and worried over the possibility of Kara waking up one day with memories of home that tell her she ended up in love with Winn after all. Hell, she's even lightly considered her realizing it her in the fleet. That might have been part of why she was okay with Kara and Hank when there was a Kara and Hank to consider.]

[ for winn, it's not a concern. he always suspected that kara would never see him as more than a friend - it's why he had to be pushed so hard past his limits to be able to bring it up with her in the first place. her reaction proved him right, and that was that. the end. it's the only reason he can let it go this way without feeling bad - those feeling will be left to die, they'll never come up, they'll never have a chance to hurt kitty. and she's definitely helping him hammer in their coffin. ]

They should all know now, but initially I didn't want to just call them since he's their communications officer, so I was telling people as I could make arrangements to see them in person. Hank and Leto knew first. I was trying to set up telling Kate, but it's more in the open now. Wrath made a call to their ship about him after he called us to warn us about the murderer on board.
