[ she flops back and eats, thinking and staring at the ceiling. she's not even thinking about anything stunningly complicated. just that even though they're not exactly where she'd want to be locationally, this is probably the best place she and winn have been in their friendship. like, ever. it's a relaxing thought. ]

[ he eats too, enjoying the comfortable silence for a moment, because he and kitty don't really have those anymore since he confessed to her that he's been keeping things in. he loves talking to her, but not every silence needs to be filled.

He's a pretty great guy, but I think he's on the shy side. And not that terrible worlds are a competition, but his is pretty much terrible. And there's like, time travel involved? It's complicated.

Do you ever get the feeling like ours is one of the only safe ones out there? [ well, it's under constant alien threat but it has badass alien defenders so it even out in winn's mind. ]

I really do, even with my family drama managing to find its way there.

Anyway, we are just friends, but he has these pretty nasty nightmares so sometimes I go over and hang out overnight? And we're not having sex or anything at all of that nature, which, I don't know why I need to tell you that at all, but it's the truth.
