[she tries to gesture with one of her arms, to show the bulby helmet over her as if she were a space mermaid... but her tower of books starts tipping and she's got to catch those instead.]

But yeah, space mermaids. Or I could just look it up. There's so much out there... I thought magic was unexplored territory, jeez...

Wait, you think magic's an unexplored territory?

[he quirks an eyebrow]

Heh, that's not a sentiment I'd expect to hear from someone skilled enough to sense it.

Oh, I only really know about a couple different kinds of magic. I'm still studying the rest of them.

[she smiles again, looking kind of excited...]

And that's not to mention magic from other worlds...

[He gives a chuckle and shakes his head] Well if you put it that way- I see what you mean.

Sounds like you're never gonna run out of things to learn at this rate, huh?

Well, I may run out if my wallet can't keep up... This whole "ratings" thing isn't exactly a dependable income. [she shakes her head too.] But this'll at least keep me busy if the next star system turns out to really boring.

Heh- I know what you mean. That's why I try to take jobs where I can. So I don't always have to be entertaining.

Eugh... Yeah... [jobs aren't really her style... not without her home crew there to point her in directions and tell her what to do. she's definitely more of a follower than a leader, in that sense.] Has that been good? I've noticed there's a lot of, uh... [black market shenanigans.] ...Traffic.

...Yes. Because that's much lesser known word for smuggling.

[He gives a simple shrug]

It's alright. Easy work compared to stuff I've done in the past. Close to giving up stepping on Abeo anymore- I'm getting pretty sick of them getting worked up about my hair.

[she huffs and makes a face... way to ruin it, Kaneiss.]

Well, it is luscious and brightly-colored. Though... They were getting all worked up about my makeup, too. Those guys are weird.

Oh, this? [He lifts it up for her to see] Fairy Tales of the Standing Moon. Thought it might be interesting to see what kind of legends these guys come up with.
