Yes, well, the fact that you're practicing with me does help, too.

That reminds me. How have you been practicing?

Me? [he shrugs a shoulder] Before we stopped here, I was running the obstacle course on the Iskaulit. And - you know I took Mystique up on her offer. Raven and I sparred once, too.

I haven't done much down here aside from climbing trees.

Have you seen any improvements?

Some. [he huffs a little] I don't really have a proper baseline to go off of because I never bothered with it. My fault, because I'm an idiot.

You never established one? Shame on you, Hank.

[he makes a face and looks away, rubbing at his neck]

It wasn't a priority.

No, I suppose not. Still, perhaps we can start with a baseline for now.

Mmm. I mean, I know what I'm capable of, more or less, but a lot of what I'm capable isn't really . . . a good idea to test on a spaceship.

But easily done on a planet, I imagine.

I just have to find somewhere secluded enough, yeah. I don't want to scare the locals.

It'll take a lot to frighten the locals, Hank.

[he hesitates for a moment]

Even so. I'm not one for - doing any of that in front of most people.

Well, there are plenty of uninhabited areas, at least.

Mmm. I was thinking of going out past the volcano. I've been wanting to explore anyway.
