Heehee I actually live and work in a bakery back home! AND I've been working at a few of them here too: I'm trying to save up so I can make some garden beds on my ship in case we ever get stuck on a planet without a lot of plants again!

Let's see... some DEFINITELY needs some wood and nails to start. Oh, and maybe something to keep the beds on the floor in case we need to do a barrel roll or the gravity goes gablooey. And soil, definitely need that, and I'm trying to work out what'd be the best way to water them and keep them fertilized. And seeds! We've got a couple of spikyloupe sprouts from the moon, but I know it'd be nice to have some variety!

Yeah, of course! Well, wood and soil we can probably just pick up, it's a very fertile forest out there. And my friends and I can help you work out an irrigation system - it shouldn't be a problem. I'm not a huge expert on taking care of plants but drip irrigation's probably gonna be a pretty convenient way to do it? We can ask Vision, he's captain of the Windrose and he's got some plants too, bet he's already got all this figured out.

Hee yeah, I met him for his birthday party! He's pretty nice and smart! He told me about a few things and he let me take some sketches for design ideas. I'm not much of a lumberjack or a carpenter, though, I think I'll need to buy wood that's already cut and shaped the way I need it to be.

I can help you with that - I haven't worked with wood in years -- [ since he was a kid, to be exact...it's not often that he thinks of the good times with his dad, before everything went to hell in a handbasket, but now they're coming to mind, all those happy days spent in his workshop, tinkering with mechanisms, shaping wood, sewing plush toys...he smiles softly even as a dull ache spreads in his chest. they used to be so happy. ] -- but I'm pretty sure I remember how it goes. The cutting thing though -- yeah, that's gonna have to be someone else, you probably need some sorta permit for that...

Uh, drip irrigation is basically a system that slowly drips water directly at the plant, to keep any of it from going to waste.

Hmmm there's GOTTA be a lumber yard somewhere. I mean I know that most the houses are built INTO the trees instead of cutting down the wood and building a house, but the docks are wood, and somebody's gotta make sure THOSE are ship-shape, right?
