[admittedly half of his perusing for books is for gifting purposes; someone has a birthday coming up and the fact that there are physical books rather than the reading on the network is something he can't pass up in the first place. That and, well, he wants to read some of the ones he's found, too. It's win win all around]

Ah - hey, it has been a while. How've you been?
stefanged: (slight worry)

Busy. Ramadan ended a while back, but I've been catching up. Didn't have the energy for much while fasting.

[Has he mentioned his faith to Hank? Stefan's not sure, but the truth wouldn't hurt. As much as he loves a good holy month, drinking blood again is a godsend.]

What about you? Liking this place better than the last one?

Really? I had no idea - belated happy Ramadan. [he hasn't been keeping up on dates, let alone holidays, so used to being in another world and not having any idea what the date is. Charles' birthday was really what made him start keeping track again.

At the question he smiles a bit and nods]
I'm enjoying it a lot, even if the effect is a little overwhelming sometimes. I've only been back to my lab a handful of times since we docked here.

[which . . . says a lot about how much he enjoys the planet]
stefanged: (genuine smile)

Oh, uh, thank you.

[Wow, someone who knows what Ramadan is. Stefan can't quite help the flush of color on his face.]

We'll have plenty of time once we leave, but until then... I've been staying here overnight. Can't remember the last time I've set foot in my lab for more than a few minutes.

You're welcome.

[he knows enough! But he nods at what Stefan says]

Mm, same. It's a nice change from the norm, honestly.
stefanged: (kinda hopeful)

I could go without the whole memory-sharing thing, but yeah. I wouldn't mind staying twice as long here.

[Still bitter about how long they were at the toxic moon? Maybe.]

Neither would I. [don't worry, he's bitter about it too] If putting up with the memory sharing means we do, then I'm willing to make the sacrifice. It's not too bad, mostly.
stefanged: (i think not)

Right. I have to say, this is the first planet where I've wanted them to break their monthly tradition.

That would be nice. [if only they were that lucky] A friend of mine really enjoys it here, too - it's been good for him. So staying a little longer would work out really well.
