It certainly works out considering who runs things. [she shrugs a shoulder] How did you inherit the other place? I must keep missing you; I duck in there sometimes for a change of scenery.

I've been on enforced shore leave for a while. Turns out running two bars and being a captain and having an augment glitch try to kill you is not all that great for your health. So I'm under orders to rest and have a good time.

{Well. She's also still technically in recovery, but whatever. She feels fine.]

[angelherding]

I don't know, that sounds like fun to me. [she's not serious. . . . mostly] Isn't that a requirement for this stop anyway? There's beaches and hot springs. I doubt anyone is actually working all that hard.

[namisan]

Probably not. I definitely don't mind taking a break, don't get me wrong. Seems well timed, given where we ended up.

Course, now I'm soaking in a hot spring with a demon, but you don't seem like you're about to ruin my vacation any time soon.

[angelherding]

It does seem well-timed, especially after what happened on the Iskaulit. I guess it fits the reality show set-up pretty well.

And I have no plans on ruining any vacations. As long as you don't ruin mine, relax away.

[namisan]

I've got no intention, don't worry. [She does relax. A little, anyway.] Demons are not in my pay grade. I'm busy enough as it is.

You were there on the Iskaulit?

[angelherding]

I wasn't there, but I went over to see what happened after the dust settled. [and ran into a Winchester, the foremost magnets for problems]

[Ah yes. Meg, Sam is the worst for being a trouble magnet have you noticed. Course you have.]

I was only kind of there in the distance. Working the bar at the time. People are saying it was an augment glitch. I guess the Atroma have decided to add drama into the mix.

[angelherding]

[let's be honest here, Meg's part of the reason why Sam became a trouble magnet in the first place. That doesn't mean she gets any less exasperated about it, in a sort of no-really-I-don't-care-shut-up kind of way]

I heard it was an augment glitch, too. And if it's really supposed to be reality TV, then are you surprised? Drama makes for ratings, and the juicier the better. That's how it works where I'm from.

[namisan]

Nope, not surprised in the slightest. I'm only surprised it took them this long. Their party line is just oh! but it's accidental! [--insert your falsetto mockery of Diamond here--] --doesn't hold much water.

[angelherding]

If they think anyone believes that, then they really must think we're a bunch of idiots.

[namisan]

I don't think they care if we believe it or not. They sure get upset when it's glitches they didn't manufacture themselves, though.

[angelherding]

Do they? Makes you wonder if it's genuine or not. [only amateurs get upset over that. But then again, Meg is the kind of to sit back and enjoy whatever she happens to witness, too]

[namisan]

It was kind of a fleetwide thing. I guess they decided it was too disruptive. We all got recalled like faulty merchandise for fine tuning.

[angelherding]

"Fine tuning". [she repeats it, eyebrows raised] That sounds like a blast.

[namisan]

You'd probably have loved it. [She feels vaguely secure making that declaration despite having known Meg for all of five minutes.] They called it calibrating. We spent a lot of time visiting each other's headspaces. I have no clue what that was meant to accomplish.

[angelherding]

[she was almost on board until the part about getting into headspaces. Sure, she enjoyed doing that with her hosts, but past that? Or the chance someone could do that to her? No thanks]

Actually, it sounds like a pain in the ass. I don't want anyone in my headspace.

[idly, she wonders if that'd be consider a form of torture]

[Nami tilts her head back and gives Meg a lazy look.]

But you'd be okay with someone else's?

[angelherding]

Only if I'm the one doing it.

[and then she quirks a half-smirk] No, probably not. Brain games get old pretty quick.

[namisan]

I kind of found it interesting. [There's an admission.] I just didn't like seeing the insides of people's heads without their permission. Most of them still don't know I was there.

Fair play, I guess. I have no idea how many were messing around in my head.

[angelherding]

You talk about it like it was some kind of adventure. [that sounds less like what she expected and what she was used to]

[Snort.] Yeah, well. I can think of a few people who'd think of it that way. Maybe they've rubbed off on me.
