[Honestly, Stefan has no backbone when it comes to Ino. With anyone else, he would've balked about a daytime trip to the beach (even moreso since he's a vampire).

Except when she suggests something, he's too terrified to back out. Which is why he's lying on the towel to her with a few books of fairy tales and enough snacks for a small army. No proper swimsuit for him; he's got swim trunks and a loose-fitting white shirt, though it's thin enough to display his rose tattoo.

Not that he's paying attention as he's slathering on sunscreen.]

Ugh, this is greasier than I remembered....

[ She just looks amused as he puts the sunscreen on. ]

You make it sound like you haven't been on the beach for an entire century or something.

Because I haven't. [He's teasing, mainly. As much as he avoids the sun, even he can get out and enjoy the water (thanks to his trusty daylight ring).] The last seaside planet wasn't half as bad with the sun.

I don't know how everyone isn't dying to get some sunlight whenever we stop.

Now, I'm still better than my siblings. They're gonna burn no matter how much sunscreen they put on.

They do, but my brother always ends up super red. [Like a lobster, he wants to add, but that's rude. Damon isn't here to defend himself.] I think it's more that he lies about how much he's put on.
