Ahhh, Them, I get ya now. [Remy tried not to grin, he really did, able to imagine how miserable this planet must be for her. At least clothing gave her a barrier here as much as anywhere, so far.] 'nd the thing be, they so nice 'bout it that it just feels wrong to punch them in the face for tryin' to do so, hein?

And they're small [Indignantly.] It's like kickin' puppies.

[Ice Queen exterior or not, she'd always hated doing that.

[That time Remy couldn't help himself, letting out a laugh at her words that trailed off into a chuckle.] Aw cherie, that real sweet of ya, who would had guessed under all the doom 'nd gloom.

Well if that the case we should make the most of bein' out 'nd 'bout, non? [Provided they avoided those dinosaurs Kirk had warned him about because, really, dinosaurs? Yeah, Remy did not want to take one of those on.] 'nd away from all those grabby lil' hands.

[She couldn't help it; Rogue arched an eyebrow and then glanced pointedly down at Remy's own hands before meeting his gaze again and allowing her other eyebrow to join the first.

[Remy's own brows went up at her very direct look to him, confused at the intent of it at first before it clicked in and he laughed again.] Hey, that's a different type of grabby hands... sometimes, 'nd for different reasons. [It ending in a grin.]

[Rogue chuckled.] Sure, sure. That's what they all say.

[She handed back the water bottle to him, since, yeah, carrying things wasn't going so well.] Ya wanna keep movin'?

[As if he hadn't stopped just because of her in the first place.]

Gotta question what type of people ya hangin' out with if that's what all of them be sayin' [It was said as he reached out to take the bottle back, putting it and his own away before readjusting the pack he was carrying.] Think 'm good to go. [Yep, willing to go along with that if she is.]

[With a flicker of a smile in his direction and a slight sigh at having to do Yet More Walking, Rogue set herself back on the path toward the Giving Tree.]

Think I can run 'nything past ya with how ya be right now. [A grin sent in her direction as they started on their way again.] Ah, let's see. I'm actually makin' an honest livin' for once, on one of the construction teams here. Just felt... wrong to go pick pocketin' a bunch of folk who can read m' mind 'nd know what 've done, ya know?

Ha, ha. [Dryly, so, so dryly. Sure, make fun of her for trudging up the mountain with you. She hopes the giving tree gives him a sack of something really heavy to carry back. Heavy and awkward. Like a drum set. Ha!]

That would be wrong in 'nother way, 'nd make me a very bad thief if I got caught. It just more... not havin' to stick 'round for the fall out normally. [Though Remy was careful on these plants, skimming off the top, not bankrupting someone. There was no fun in stealing from those who couldn't afford it, rather those who were either insured through the roof or had gotten their profit through illegal means. It might be a little Robin Hood, but it felt good to take from those who had hurt and stepped over others to get to their place in the world. Almost as if he was acting as karma.]

[An unimpressed grunt. He knew she didn't approve of his stealing from people. She had room in her heart to let him take whatever he wanted from evil people, especially if it was something that would hurt them, but she'd hated what she'd seen him do during Mardi Gras, 'getting by'. Still, she was glad he wasn't ripping off random people on the planets they went to... that was progress, no matter his reasons, she supposed.]

Glad you're sparin' us from havin' ta bust ya out of alien jail.

[Although, yes, she did doubt he'd be caught. Still. She was tired and annoyed with her exhaustion and therefore a little prickly.]

[Hey, this was getting by, considering the different currency on the planet. Much like it had been on the station when their credits got frozen.] I know, great of me, ain't it? [Remy wanted to keep teasing her, pushing her like normal, but also picking up the fact she was starting to grumble.] Ya good for food? I got some trail mix I made up in the packs. [Maybe a little bit of sugar would help sweeten her mood... no pun intended. Ok, maybe a little.]

[Rogue gave him a wary look out of the corner of her eye.] Why d'ya try an' keep feedin' me, Cajun? Do I look that bad? [A beat.] Don't answer that.

[Argh, everything was sore. Gritting her teeth, she focused on moving one foot forward at a time. Despite herself, she was slowing down. That annoyed her even further.]

Hey, ya should know the answer to that. We Southern folk, ya know everything comes back to food with us. [A grin shot her way as he silently noted her difficulty, easing off his own pace by half a step to fall closer in line with her own speed, not mentioning anything about it.]

[That was fair enough, really. Rogue just gave it an acknowledging grunt.] How much longer, d'ya think?

[She wasn't looking ahead anymore, just concentrating on where she'd be putting her next step.]

[Honestly, they weren't keeping a good pace, it would be night by the time they got there, and Remy cast a look back down the path they had come from before upwards to the sky, noting where the sun was.] Hopefully get there before sun down. [It was a bit of a hike. Maybe he should had grabbed something to transport her on, like tipping Charles out of his chair and stealing that.

...nah, that was a bit too mean.]
