Misty puts her hands on her hips, frowning with annoyance. "I don't know what the hell aesthetic means but whatever it is, it's wrong!"

He chuckles again, charmed.

Maglor chuckles softly but there in all her glory is Galadriel, the Lady of Light, gold and silver in her hair, and quite easily identifiable as Finrod's sister.

But here in this place, with the Tree so close, the Lady overlays other images too, the girl-that-was and the lady-that-is both existing at once in Maglor's mind, fiesty young Nerwen, full of life and joy, and bold Artanis, a warrior beyond peer existing simulatenously with Galadriel, tall and sad and proud and free.

Well...

Okay, Galadriel is beautiful, far more beautiful than anyone she's ever met. But that don't make Maglor's mother plain, by any stretch of the imagination.

So, very stubbornly, she says, "They're both beautiful, in their own way."

Maglor smiles for her, affection bleeding through the connection.

"Thank you, Misty."

She's not sure what to do with that affection, other than to bask in it, giving him a bright smile in return. "Thank you, for showin' me - and for bringin' me with you."

A moment's hesitation, then she goes up on her toes and gives him a quick peck on the cheek - affectionate and almost more... filial than anything else.

He flushes shyly at the kiss and twinkles back at her.

"It was my honor, and my pleasure. Thank you for the song."
