Who: Kaworu Nagisa, anyone else!
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: his bunk, the Vanquish
When: this afternoon
Need advice for when one's body is trying to kill oneself
[Shipmates may notice how he hasn't left his bunk but a couple of times in the entirety of this past week. This means he's been of no use as an engineer, which is bad news considering this mysterious bug business. Even without that, he should at least be tending to the ship's overhead lights, which have been flickering on occasion... (The particularly astute might note that this seems to coincide with the muffled sounds of what could be... sneezes?)
But, alas, he is dying. He's pretty sure of it.]

What are your symptoms?
no subject
Tremors and perspiration as if affected by atmospheric temperature??
I keep sleeping not sure when I will cease to awaken

I can assure you right now you aren't dying, even if you might feel that way. Expelling fluids are normal; unless it's blood, don't worry. Tremors, sweating, and sleep are also normal.
What else? Sore throat? Achy joints? Upset stomach?

Yo. [He gives a smile and a nod, since his hands are full of soup, juice, and a bottle of medicine. Once he's close enough to Kaworu's bedside, he'll set everything down, then give Kaworu and check-over.] How're you feeling?
no subject
It's bad, Captain, [he says finally, grave and hoarse.]
no subject
That bad, huh? [With that, he pulls his hand away, only to hold up the bowl of soup.] Think your stomach's up for chicken noodle soup? That's usually pretty good for sicknesses.

action.
A damp cloth, then. Reasonably cool. Not quite dripping. He slides it into place on Kaworu's forehead, as careful as he can be, a presence he hopes is minimal at most. He stays quiet, just watching Kaworu as he sleeps. It looks like Kaworu hasn't been taking care of himself. It looks like Kaworu would rather bury himself in a mountain of splotchy, soaked-through tissues.
He doesn't know what he's feeling right now. There's concern, obviously, and then there's anger. Fear and confusion. Self-loathing and the nearest thing to obsession. Shame on display... He sighs to himself, stands up, and starts picking up all the splotchy, soaked-through used tissues. A tidy space is a happy space, or so he's heard.]

His head is speared through, pounding in time with his heartbeat, and it hurts even while he sleeps. Now, though, something soothes it. Though it still aches, it's tempered by something... A wonderful temperature, which stalls Kaworu's shivering and makes him feel calmer. That's not the amazing thing, though. There's something even better than the cool and gentle blessing at his forehead. Something...
A presence. It's simultaneously warm and cool, easing the discomfort of what irrational things his fever makes his body feel. It's the truest joy, knowing that this presence is here, that Kaworu can exist in close proximity to whatever this wonderful thing is. Kaworu's been expecting death all this time, but what he feels now is similar to how Lilin described its ideas of heaven. As he wakes up slowly, wondering what could possibly be this good, he opens his eyes. It's hard to make out at first, but there it is: that form is Shinji's. This feeling is the feeling that only Shinji could possibly give him.
Kaworu's eyes are full of tears almost immediately.]
Ikari Shinji-ku— [He breaks off into sharp coughing, the creak of his voice too much of a strain to be used without warning. It gets worse, too — he makes it worse on himself, by trying too hard to cry and call Shinji's name at the same time, so he ends up fumbling, sniffling, and squeezing his eyes shut through the stuttering commotion. It's so humiliating that he immediately raises both hands to cover his face.
But the sight of Ikari Shinji — to see him, when Kaworu had been genuinely afraid that he'd never see Shinji again — it's too much to lose, and he peeks out between his fingers.]

Hey. [His voice is so soft, he's competing with the hum of fluorescent lighting. And it gets even softer when he says:] Hey, Kaworu-kun. I didn't mean to startle you. [He's moving back into Kaworu's line of sight, tentative from top to bottom. The sunglasses he's wearing look a little too big on his head. Behind dark lenses, the red of his eyes hasn't dimmed at all.]
Can you drink some water for me? [He has no idea if Kaworu's biology (their biology) (why) (how) will respond to typical care-taking, but he's going with better safe than sorry. He offers a fresh water bottle from somewhere--not ice-cold, but misty with condensation.] Or if you're hungry, I'll... [Make something to eat, sure. It's the least he can do before he figures out how to unwind himself from reality.
So he trails off awkwardly, just holding out the water bottle. The sunglasses do everything to hide the tears in his own eyes.]

I didn't know it would be like this.

[He doubts, but there's a possibility considering they'd just been to a planet that was plentiful with stuff like that.]
If not, there should be the seeds on the Iskaulit in the plant room and I know there's wine at Malum. You could have a friend retrieve them.
[There's a reason he's not volunteering to help himself. He would in any other case, but he's somewhere he's not willing to leave right now.]
Or you cold just go to your ship's med bay for medicine. I guess.
