First Report
Who: Bridge Carson and whoever!
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Bloodsport
When: Yesterday/today/tomorrowish
Video
[The face on the communicator is of a young man dressed in a strange uniform with blue accents. The camera isn’t facing down or upside-down or anything, so it’s almost like he might know what he’s doing.
Bridge waves at the camera with a smile.]
Hello! My name is Bridge Carson, cadet of S.P.D. Earth and first I was on this big ship that was really kind’ve small because there wasn’t much to the part I was in, but it was also kind’ve big again because it was mostly empty. But now I’m on one of the smaller ships, the Bloodsport which...now that I think about it, that’s not a very good name for a ship; who wants to be on a ship called ‘Bloodsport?’ Sounds...well...bloody.
[Huh. Oh well]
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and meet some of you since it seems like we’re gonna have some time to get to know each other. Although, I get the feeling I might have missed a step or...three.
[Based on the movement of the camera, those watching might notice that Bridge has walked part way back the way he came as though he might be able to pick up those missed steps. He shakes his head as he dismisses the idea and another one occurs to him.]
Oh, and if anyone else is from S.P.D. just raise your hand. Well, with the video on.
Action
For anyone on the Bloodsport, they can find their new engineer just about anywhere on the ship as he explores every nook and cranny, even the ones he probably has no business poking into. However, he spends a lot of time of his first couple days, predictably, in the engine room..
Anyone who stumbles into the engine room, however, might want to watch their step as the floor is littered with metal and wires and debris. Bridge himself is half under a consol. Don’t worry, he has everything under control.

[ Says the guy running the X-Men. ]
What is the SPD?
[ video ]
[That question earns some confusion. Maybe S.P.D. didn't span the whole universe just yet, but most people had at least heard of it. Although, not being anywhere close enough to home for that name to be familiar at least solved the question as to why his star-navigation training hadn't helped him out while he stared out the windows for hours.]
Space Patrol Delta. It's a peacekeeping force run by this super strict bird, but Commander Birdie's okay, once you get past his prickly outside. Or...his feathery outside, I guess.
I think they're feathers...
Oh, but we fight people who want to hurt or take over planets or break the Common Laws set up across the universe. Often times with big robots.
[Don't think he's joking, he says every single word with a straight face.]
Re: [ video ]
What does this peacekeeping force do?

Maybe you're on the tough ship with all the ex-cons and assorted troublemakers
No one will mess with you

I hope they're not, it's sort've my job to keep peace and maintain the laws. I might not be home, but I'm still S.P.D.

[A wave. ]
Hey Bridge. Congrats, you've won my 'strangest name I've heard yet' award. You must be so proud.
Video
I am! I like my name. My best friend's name is Sky, but it's short for Schuyler. Then there's Jack and Syd-Sydney, Sam...oh! Z's name is kinda-oh but it's short for Elizabeth. Huh. I hadn't thought about it before.
My Commander's name is a cool one: Anubis Doggie Cruger. He just goes by Cruger. Or Commander.
What's your name?

[Bridge may work with blue doggies, but what are his thoughts on pink ponies?]
Hi there, Bridge Carson, I'm Pinkie Pie! Yeah, the Bloodsport's name is kinda gross, but I know Captain Nami, she's really nice, AND my friends Finn and Poe's best friend Rey is over there, and she's really REALLY nice!a
Video
Nice to meet you, Pinkie! I'm glad everyone's nice. Someone said the name might be because everyone was ex-convicts and that idea wasn't exciting. Although, some ex-convicts can be nice...most just aren't. But, if they're not even convicts, 'ex' or otherwise, then it's not a problem!
So, are talking Ponies the dominant species on your planet? I don't think I've heard of one like that.
[That wasn't rude, right? He didn't think so, it was an honest fact-gathering question.]
Ahhh, after ten thousand years I tag!
No worries! Backtagging forever <3

You doing okay? It's a lot to take in all at once, I know. Do you need anything?
video
Hey there, Sorey, nice to meet you! You're an Engineer too? Have you tried to take the engine apart yet? I think I'm going to and see how it all works, maybe I can make it better. Or make it make toast, whichever.
[Oh, but, did he need anything?]
I don't think I need anything. [Here's his thinking face.] Well, nothing you could give me, anyway. I'd love a way to contact my friends or have my lab back or have a huge ile of like twenty pieces of toast, but it's okay.
Really, this isn't so weird to me. Space is everyday and so are fleets, it's the 'suddenly waking up somewhere I don't know' that's more jarring. Feels too much like the time I got kidnapped. But no one seems to be trying to kill me here, so it's better.

...oh lord this place is a mess. Huh. Hmm.]
It's a terrible name for a ship, but we don't get to change it. But I can at least tell you we're not all bloodthirsty criminals. Not at the same time, anyway.
[She says that so cheerfully.]
Hey. I'm Nami. Please tell me you're an engineer.
[Action]
[His voice comes out kind of muffled from under the consul, but he crawls out after a moment to sit on the floor instead. It was more polite to at least look at the person you're talking to. He waved.]
Hi Nami, I'm Bridge! I was a Power Ranger of S.P- Space Patrol Delta, but now I think I'm an Engineer. I'm not entirely sure, I did a lot with machines back home too, so I'm not really sure where my knowledge begins and theirs begins...or where mine begins and theirs ends...but I guess it's all the same, really.
Oh and, don't worry about the mess, I'll put everything back when I'm done.

[He knows he should probably throw the kid a bone and try to explain some things about the fleet or whatever, but he's having a bit of trouble sleeping with Anders' boney butt digging into his side and nowhere else to actually go but off the tiny bed to avoid it so he'd rather just have inane conversation while he sits here on the floor outside their newly shared quarters wishing for more space.]

Unless, they're all related, but they weren't born at the same time, you know, like the first set of twins were born and then a couple years later the second set of twins and then the third set after that! That'd be a lot of kids.
[He's sitting in the Engineering room now and he idilly plays with some of the wires on the floor.]
Either way, I'm just glad my ship's not full of convicts like someone else suggested. That would have been complicated.

Who me? No! I don't think so, anyway. I'm pretty sure I'd know if I was a dead body, but then again, maybe I wouldn't.
[Slowly, Bridge extracts himself from the mess of metal and wires and cables he's surrounded himself with. once his arm is free, he waves.]
Hi there. See? Not dead! Does that...happen around here often? I mean, I guess this is the 'Bloodsport.'
