Why'd You Kill the Merchant?!
Who: ALL O' Y'ALL
Broadcast: If you want
Action: FRICK YEAH PARTY AT THE JUNKYARD...I mean, Waystation. Junkstation.
When: 10/07 - Event End
It looks more like a junk heap than a waystation, but luckily there aren't any math fetishists to add you to the pile (hopefully). Talk to the scavengers and heed their warnings...if you want. Or perhaps you'll approach a shady individual for purchasing or selling stuff.
"Welcome, stranger!"

I said I wasn't interested. I don't know if they'll ever take a hint.

In the mean time Vash takes a step back and rests his arms behind his head. Watching with amusement as Stefan fights. Although his relaxed look hides how ready he is to defend himself if any of these men decide to turn their attention to the loiter.]
Yeah? What weren't you interested in?
no subject
I would never. [He lets out a nervous huff, almost as if he's insulted at the thought. The men don't quite rise up yet, and honestly? He takes that as his cue.
He motions for Vash to hurry up and follow him out before they wake up.]
Being held for ransom. Probably. They're not exactly outstanding citizens.
no subject
[Vash has known some pretty great people in his time. Great doesn't always mean they won't kill or be killed in certain situations so can't help checking.]
It must be that handsome face of yours. [Vash follows behind effortlessly. Kicking the arm out from under a man to keep him from getting back up.
Nearly feels like home as they take off.] Besides, you never kidnap the captain. The captain is who you call for the ransom.

[Stefan could run a lot faster, but honestly, any faster than their current speed would look suspicious. He's attracting enough attention as it is. Probably.]

I know it's important to have a budget for the ship, but don't they get some money for themselves too? Do really none of them save for a rainy day?
[Luckily when he can find donuts they're usually relatively inexpensive. Or else he really shouldn't be talking.]
no subject
No, I mean more - I have a bail fund. A separate bail fund for whenever someone lands in jail.
no subject
Do you guys really get arrested that much?!
no subject
[In other words, IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME and Stefan is a paranoid panda who expects the worst.
He doesn't stop running, not even for a second, until he's absolutely sure they're well out of harms way. Good. He'll just catch his breath now.]
They're uh - it's good to be prepared, before something actually happens.
no subject
I may steal that idea. [Considering he has been arrested a few times it's mostly for himself.] I never even considered having money aside for bail. I just figured eventually the fleet would move far enough away and I'd-ah, a person would be teleported back automatically.
[Vash slows his running and while he does need to catch his breath, he is in no way winded after their long run.] Good news though, I think we lost them.

[Stefan just hates the idea of staying in jail. He has places to be and people to see, etc.
Also, bro. Most people would be exhausted at this point - and while Stefan's a little worn out, he's also not keen to call Vash out on his powers. They've both got secrets to hide.]
Praise be to Allah. Those guys were ugly enough. I wouldn't want to meet the rest of 'em.
no subject
[Vash scrunches up his nose and waves a hand in front of it for effect.]
But still, are you okay? They didn't hurt you, did they?
no subject
[He gestures towards himself; except for the mud on his shoes and some slight scuff marks on his shirt, he's clean as a whistle.]
no subject
[Vash sighs and runs a hand through his hair.] Man, the people around here aren't very friendly like are they?
no subject
They sure aren't. I don't think I can blame them, either. This planet doesn't feel too good.
no subject
I mean. It has been a bit strange. Something off I can't quite put my finger on, but I don't know if I'd call it a bad feeling or not.

I know some people have been feeling like being watched on this planet and I don't really have that feeling as strongly as others, but I guess part of me doesn't really like the idea of a planet itself being inherently bad.
Obviously some bad things happened on the planet. Or there wouldn't be so many crashed ships. [Vash shrugs. Not really knowing how to explain himself as he's not entirely sure what he's feeling.] I can see why people would be uneasy because of that, but I haven't felt overly threatened either while on the planet.
no subject
I mean... I've seen something watch me. We've been traveling to the ruins, and I've watched some blob follow us, night after night. I can't tell you if it's good or bad.
I'm glad you don't feel threatened, but people can't write away what they've seen or felt.

I can handle these wayfarers just fine, but that blob must've been at least 12 feet tall.

T-that's pretty big. Glad it didn't try to sit on you then.
