I've been trading metals. [He rakes a hand back through his hair, casting a cursory look over the nearby stalls.] Collecting good pieces to put together some pots for plants.

Might as well. [The idea of turning tail and going back to the Heron chafes at his pride, as much as his nerves. Casting a look over Wrath's disheveled appearance, he does finally comment on it.] And what was that?

[Heh. Her smile goes wry.] Looking for assholes to put through interior walls.

I don't think you'll find a shortage of those here.

Yeah, plenty of work to do. [Which is nice, because it means she knows how to deal with it. Cleaning up the scum is a function that's easy.] But I'd rather give my time to a friend.

That's fine. There's not a rule that you only deserve to have your back watched when you're a ray of fucking sunshine. [And she's not exactly in the best of all moods herself, even if it comes out oddly.]

[All he can do is nod, faintly chastened. He wishes he could get his mood under control, but he's still hyper-aware of everything around him. With a shake of his head he sets off towards the other side of the market-slash-park they're in. He knows there's a scrap dealer towards the end of the stores that he's had decent dealings with twice already. Today he'll pay money, rather than try to trade.]

I don't use parts that often, truth be told. The last thing I really needed for was-- Charles's chair.

Not a bad idea to have them for when you do need them. There could be another project like that on the horizon for all we know. And there's always room to improve the float chair. It's really good now, but it could always be better.
