Why'd You Kill the Merchant?!
Who: ALL O' Y'ALL
Broadcast: If you want
Action: FRICK YEAH PARTY AT THE JUNKYARD...I mean, Waystation. Junkstation.
When: 10/07 - Event End
It looks more like a junk heap than a waystation, but luckily there aren't any math fetishists to add you to the pile (hopefully). Talk to the scavengers and heed their warnings...if you want. Or perhaps you'll approach a shady individual for purchasing or selling stuff.
"Welcome, stranger!"

Got a plan? [Because if Al didn't, there was a chance Remy was going to beat these guys black and blue.]

Instead, he raised his voice to get the rest of their attention.] I suggest movin' away from the kid. Will be the smartest thing ya done today.

Moving towards us isn't a good idea, either. Back off now, or we'll make sure you're sorry before sending you packing.
sorry for lateness in answering
Keeping his voice low, he spoke to Al.] Think ya can pull that kid out of the way with that cable if things get a bit explosive? [Remy wouldn't kill the attackers, just give them a few injuries to remember them by.]
<3
Definitely. Could you hold them off on your own?

Throwing out the card he had charged, Remy angled it in such a way to disarm one of the knife holders, strong enough to sting and leave a decent burn but not enough to take off a limb. Using the unexpected explosion as a distraction, Remy surged forward, a foot kicking out to break the grasp of another's hold on their weapon before striking an elbow into the same goon's jaw.]

But there was another time for that. Al blocked a downswinging knife thrust from another punk, yelling at the child-]
Run! Get someplace safe!
[-before smartly dodging the next few attacks, like Izumi had taught him so long ago, then when his opponent lunged, using his own momentum against him in a throw into a nearby stall. Soon the man was flat on his back, stunned, as Al ducked a punch from behind.
Thankfully, the child was sneaking away on his own.]
Come on, you all can do better than that!

They'll need a doctor when we're done with them, either way.
[He was then surprised when the bound man kicked him in the shin; resisting the urge to kick the man in the head in return, Al instead got out of range and turned to help Remy, wielding his sharpened pipe weapon.]
I'll give you guys a chance to run and lick your wounds. If you don't... my friend and I will have to get serious.

Because you don't want to see us when we're angry. [The man seemed to consider arguing, but shook his head and murmured that they'd leave.] Good. Get going.

He held his tongue, stopping himself from making any more smart remarks that might lead to the fight starting up again, and waited until they were out of earshot before talking to Al.] Well that was fun. [Then back to the matter at hand.] The kid get away ok?
no subject
Ran off as fast as he could. Thanks for the save... I'm not sure I could have handled them all without lethal force. I hate having to go that far.

My own is from a mutation. 'm a mutant, was born with a gene that gave me powers. Seems to be gettin' more common back home, 'nd in a number of universes, but the powers range greatly.

[He then listened with interest, nodding. He sounded totally comfortable with the idea.]
So someone might have a power like yours, and then someone else might have something useless? I bet your world can be a mess sometimes, if that's the case.

I haven't ran 'cross others quite like m'self yet, but oui, there be a chance there be other kinetic chargers out there. 'nd for the most we actually weren't doin' too badly 'til of late. We kinda got outed to the masses thanks to my ex-boss, before that most didn't even know mutants existed.

[Al then listened with interest, shaking his head.]
I'd ask why you all kept to yourselves, but I think I can understand. Sometimes humans have trouble handling anything that's... too different or extraordinary.

That idea was a little too Island of Doctor Moreau for Remy's tastes.]
