I'm only looking for knickknacks for Lilly and it will probably be a while. I certainly wouldn't mind the company, but I thought you might have other things you'd wish to do.

...all right. Perhaps I'll have better luck with my shopping if I have another's opinion anyway. I must confess I'm not actually familiar with buying for a child; least of all, a hoarder like Lilly.

I used to pick presents out for my friend's daughter sometimes. I can definitely help if you think she likes cute stuff. [She perks up a little. It's something to do, a really good distraction.]

I don't think she does. Or at least... I don't think she has any experience with liking cute things. [Makie smiles ruefully.] When I met her, she liked to collect old jars she found in the town. I'd come to find lines of them in my bedroom.
