Why'd You Kill the Merchant?!
Who: ALL O' Y'ALL
Broadcast: If you want
Action: FRICK YEAH PARTY AT THE JUNKYARD...I mean, Waystation. Junkstation.
When: 10/07 - Event End
It looks more like a junk heap than a waystation, but luckily there aren't any math fetishists to add you to the pile (hopefully). Talk to the scavengers and heed their warnings...if you want. Or perhaps you'll approach a shady individual for purchasing or selling stuff.
"Welcome, stranger!"

What are you doing? [He scrabbles for an idea to stop the man, and the only thing that comes to mind is the tea set he'd just been trying to buy. Very suddenly, there's a teapot that seems to appear in Monty's hands from nowhere at all. It's lid is cast aside and he chucks the thing at his assailant. There is scalding hot tea inside.
Whether it manages to land or not, the gentleman takes off sprinting through the waystation. Maybe if he can find somewhere to hide, he'll be safe.]

[It's a good thing that Gemini has fast reflexes and also that Monty's taken off, otherwise he might see the burly man bend unnaturally to avoid that teapot and it's scalding contents, glaring at Monty's retreating back.
But she won't let him get away so easily. The male's body twists to one side, elongating into a snakelike form that shoots along the edge of the marketplace much faster than Monty can run. A moment later and Gemini steps casually out into his path from behind a stall, herself once more, pretending not to look where she was going. Now which name did she give him again?]
OOF!

I- Oh, dear Lord, I'm terribly sorry! [And also doesn't have nearly enough time to apologize properly, except... except he doesn't hear anyone crashing toward him, nor does he see the man who'd been threatening him beyond her. It strikes him a moment later who this is, looking up at her once more as he quickly removes his hands.] Ms. Anna?
no subject
[Is Gemini's in-character reaction, although she's genuinely taken very much by surprise at the sudden twirl. Once he's steadied them she gives him a warm smile, smoothing down the rumples in the blue sundress she'd created for herself.]
Monty is that you? Why were you running? [She looks behind her curiously before raising an amused eyebrow at his kneeling posture, intent on taking full advantage of its embarrassing potential, her voice teasing.]
You're not going to propose to me are you?
no subject
I-I was simply in a hurry, Ms. Anna. I... heard there was a sale? [That is a terrible lie and Monty clears his throat, moving on swiftly as he smooths his suit down, as well.] Again, my sincerest apologies. I really should be paying closer attention to where I'm going.
And as, ah... as lucky a man as I might be to propose to you, I fear my wife might take some issue with that if she were ever to arrive here. [He chuckles lightly. Cheating on Phoebe is certainly nothing new, but there's a line a man has to draw at bigamy.]
We're you looking at something over here, then?
no subject
killingbargain.]A sale, really? Will you escort me there?
[She slips an arm around his and smiles expectantly so 'excited' by the idea of a sale that it seems like she conveniently misses what Monty says about being married.]
I've been looking and looking, but nearly everything is bartered and I have nothing really to trade. I'm hoping to find some perfume. [She really is.]
no subject
Oh, well, the sale was for a stand with cuff links, but I did see a perfume stand just down this way. I'm certain I can get you an excellent deal.
[Tea set sellers be damned! Monty plans to make his most charming pitch to get Anna a good perfume as he leads her off, eyes peeled for the brute that had been after him. Hopefully, he's found some bar to drink his very severe anger issues away in. It is nice having her on his arm so easily and readily, though, and that's a bit of a distraction from his own worries.]
For money of for trade. I have a trick we can use. [He offers her a sly smile.]
no subject
That's very kind of you Monty, although it won't involve anything illegal I hope?
[So does she, it's very easy to trick people when you can make coins from your body then have them slither back to you once the seller looks the other way.]
no subject
Illegal? No, no, my dear! Nothing of the sort. Just a minor ability I have. Ah! Here we are. [Monty pauses in front of one of the vendor stands and gestures for his companion to look.] Do you have a scent you favor, then?
no subject
An ability, like a superpower? Other than being so charming. [Her cheeks dimple as she smiles, a slight blush colouring her cheeks.]
I quite like lavender. [That's also not a lie, this conversation must be a record!] I doubt they even have any mint mouth spray.
no subject
[Monty leans forward to catch the attention of the stall owner.]
I beg your pardon, miss. Have you any lilac-scented perfumes?
[She raises a brow before replying:]
Bottom row to the left. And mint mouth spray's to the top left. Deary.
[The shop-keeper apparently has very good hearing.]
no subject
I can't wait to see.
[Indeed she's watching closely as Monty interacts with the old bat, looking for any sign of powers. She's a little surprised that the woman had what she was looking for, now it's just a matter of persuading Monty to pay for them. That or come back later and kill the store owner.]
Oh my god they really have them Monty! This is awesome!
