[After the mystery and isolation of their last destination, the Marsiva seems determined to head to brighter, busier territory. After a long journey through remote, nebula-painted space, speeding along at a brisk pace for the Host ship, the Marsiva brings her Fleet to a sudden and prominent point of traffic.

It seems that the Fleet has happened upon some sort of vacation destination! Maybe Atroma thinks that the passengers deserve some rest and relaxation... or just wants to distract them with something huge and shiny.

Welcome to Hotel Corona! Feel free to enjoy yourselves and enjoy the sites! If a hotel resort isn't your thing, you can head on over to the nearby planet and explore it's icy wonders.

[Erik had assumed Charles would do as much, the same way he did years ago in Kyriakos. He settles against the rocks on his side of the spring, letting out a sigh as the heat sinks into his muscles. As much as he prefers not to admit it, he's been sore ever since the attack, and his ever present tension hasn't helped matters.]

[axiomed]

[ Charles can't help the quiet hiss of pain but he tries to keep any sounds to a minimum as he relaxes. ]

I wonder what kind of places this hotel has seen.

[exothermia]

[Erik opens one eye at the hiss, surveying Charles for a moment.]

Too many, if the selection of theme rooms is anything to go by.

[He's still annoyed at his given room.]

[axiomed]

I don't know, I rather liked mine. Strangely . . . colorful as it was.

[exothermia]

Yours doesn't spray perfume into the air every hour.

[axiomed]

Yours sprays perfume? Why?

[exothermia]

To add to the ambience, according to the information booklet.

[His tone indicates that he'd rather huff garbage than have to put up with the floral scent being spritzed around so frequently. He opens both eyes and tilts his head at Charles, displeasure written across his features.]

You've seen it, Charles. It's clearly aimed at the kind of person who collects dried flowers and knits tea cosies.

[axiomed]

It doesn't really suit you.

[ He's bemused at Erik's irritation and doesn't bother hiding it. ]

Why not ask for a change?

[exothermia]

I might, later.

[For now it's only a nuisance, not a real deterrent. Besides, he was given that suite because they had asked for adjacent rooms. He's willing to put up with the lavender monstrosity for a while.]

Do you think yours suits you?

[axiomed]

It's an overexaggeration at best and painful to the eyes . . . but I'll take it for now.

[exothermia]

[Erik tilts his head back, shutting his eyes again.]

It does seem a bit more appropriate than mine.

[axiomed]

Most of that era was a blur, to be honest.

[exothermia]

[He just snorts. He knows well enough why Charles might not remember much of the sixties.]

So it's all right. Though I hope no one gets blinded by the sheer amount of colours in there.

[exothermia]

It's a risk they'll just have to take, I suppose.

[Much like everyone has to hazard smelling of flowers forever after being in Erik's.]

[axiomed]

I doubt many people would need to. There are plenty of decent rooms after all.

[exothermia]

Thousands of them... [He sighs, shaking his head at the absurdity of it.] I don't know if you've looked at the descriptions of the themed suites, but some of them I can't imagine anyone choosing deliberately.

[axiomed]

I've glanced at them.

[ But he hasn't given it much of his attention. ] I was more curious about its museum.

[exothermia]

I've been in there a couple of times. It's an interesting place to visit.

[And, it has a quieter cafe, where he prefers to retreat when he needs the ambience of people around instead of solitude.]

[axiomed]

Oh, so you've been there already?

[exothermia]

[Erik nods, leaning forward a bit to rub at his neck.]

I've visited each of the areas on this ship. The museum, the beach, the shopping zone... and the red district. [He does sound faintly amused at the last one.] The museum is the most attractive.

[axiomed]

I'm . . . impressed.

[ He really is. It seems Erik took the time to visit a lot of the places. Charles hasn't done that yet. ]

[exothermia]

[It's habit; scoping out his surroundings. Getting the lay of the land. Even so, it's a departure from his habits in the last system, where it took him a good few days to dredge up the interest to even go outside. Erik looks away briefly, shrugging his shoulders.]

I wanted to know what was here.

[axiomed]

Any particular reason?

[exothermia]

There were some things I wanted to see if I could buy-- [It had been the last day of Hanukkah, and eventually he had bought the least star-sparkled candles he could find.] and then I just wanted to see it. It's been a long time since I've been in any kind of hotel... much less one like this.
