Um...

[she stares at Ino for a minute. "magic or something". that's so casual. does she just say yes? does she just admit to having magic powers? is that something she can do here? is that going to come back to bite her later?]

[ Yep, it is that casual, Krista! Ino don't curr. ]

Do you know a bunch of stuff, or do you have some kind of specialty?

[usually people go crazy or try to kill her over this stuff. this is one of the weirder conversations she's ever had about her magic that wasn't, like, with one of her other fairy friends.

but still, she tries to pretend she's not totally weird about explaining her magic to an autumn child.]

Um... I've... Been mostly focused in Wilder magic. It's... Making water appear, breaking stuff, some healing, um, turning things into other things...

Oh, neat! I can do a bit of healing, too, though I think it probably works differently than your magic does.

[ She looks back at the listing ]

I'm pretty sure a rat would just think you were giving it a bath or something if you used water magic on it ...

You do? [Ino might be looking back at the listing, but Krista swivels in closer to try and get her attention again.] Really? How does it work?

And I can, um, do more than just water. There's fire, or, um, earth, air, and wood.

[ She glances back to Krista ]

Well, the stuff we can do is more based off of the energy you have in your body? As far as healing goes, it's pretty much adding your own energy to someone else's to make their cells regrow in the way you'd want them to.

[ a smile ]

Oh, your natures are kind of like ours, though we have Yin and Yang too. Most people can't use all of them like that, though ... that's pretty impressive!

Wow... That sounds so cool...

[her magic is kind of like that? putting glamour into someone to fix them... she listens to the rest, gets her magic complimented, and--suddenly starts giggling, kind of relieved.]

It's so weird to hear people just talk about magic like it's... a normal thing...

Is it not normal where you come from?

Yeah, it's... pretty secret...

[her smile turns into... something of a grimace...]

Like... "get kidnapped by the government and probably kept for science if they find out" kind of secret.

... Oh. [ A bit of a wince ] Sorry to hear that. Is it just uncommon, or do people think it's dangerous ... ?

Um... Both? It's always been around, but normal people really aren't supposed to know about it. Bad things happen...

[she runs her fingers through her hair, just fidgeting.]

I'm sorry.

At least here you should be fine. There's nobody here I've met who would do something cruel to someone just because they can do magic. In fact, a lot of them can do magic themselves.

[except Fenris. and some mages. and Chris, apparently. rude.]

That's pretty weird, but... I guess I'm not complaining, right? Um...

But anyway, I guess I can kinda do some magic for these weird little monsters, or whatever. But it's not really... Ideal?
