[Mattias feels ridiculous saying something like this half-naked in the water but what can you do. There's no way he's climbing onto the bank with Aaron. Erin. Whatever.]

We're not making this into some type of game. I'm not going to guess at all your disguises.

Then don't guess and don't care. You can't stop me.

[ It's said as a matter of fact. Erin suffers no consequences. Ever. She doesn't have to, not with her skillset and her learned paranoia, a fierce clinging to her own whims. The Man doesn't get to take any of her away. ]

[Mattias stands with his arms akimbo, gaze flat. It's becoming his trademark look for talking to Erin.]

I doubt that will stop you from pestering me with it.

[ She's got her arms crossed, looking Mattias up and down with a bit of an appreciative gaze for the half-naked bit before she finally pays attention to the spot where the stitches are hiding. ]

You know this place is probably really, really dirty right?

[The gaze makes him uncomfortable; he's happy for the question.]

Yes, that is why I am, again, keeping my neck out of the water.

[He really doesn't want ELN scolding him again.]

[ It probably should, not that Erin wants it to put anyone off. She takes a few steps into the water, one hand going to raise her skirt so it doesn't trip her up. ]

What if someone came in and shoved you over? You were being pretty loud about looking for company.

[Oh no. Oh no no no no. He hopsteps backwards, nearly tripping into the river.]

No. Not yours!

[He's at a loss for what to do to fend her off. After looking around, he comes up with one solution and... splashes her.] Back! Back!

[ Erin pulls back as soon as Mattias goes for the splash attack (it's not very effective...) but even enhanced reflexes can't work through water that well and her legs and torso end up all wet. ]

Oh, what the hell! I wasn't going to come dunk you!

Well, it certainly looked that way.

[He crosses his arms. Not going to apologize.] Can't you just... shapeshift out of those clothes or something anyway?

[He waves a hand.]

[ Something in her expression darkens, an actually angry and pained look that isn't directed at Mattias beyond him asking the question in the first place. ]

No, that's transmogrification. Shapeshifting just gives me something that fits, kind of messes with what I've already got on.

[The change of expression is curious but the difference between definitions is what grabs his attention. Tilting his head, he settles into his standard inquisitiveness.]

What a strange limit. Are there people who can do both?

[mysterzie]

[ She crosses her arms, looking rather peevish now. ]

Yes. Sometimes it's the same one power — transformation, I think — and then you've got people who just have both and use them together.

But not you. [He doesn't mean it maliciously and looks confused as to why she's annoyed. Not that it'll stop him.] You can only use the one and... that blinking thing you do. Teleportation?

[Is that the right word?]

[ It's there that Erin realizes she hecked up. There's a moment of stunned confusion before she shrugs and can't quite look Mattias in the eye anymore. This isn't home, but the fear remains. Multiple powers doesn't happen unless you're a dealer. Revealing you're a dealer is just asking to be caught and shipped away. It's a bit of a shock to realize that, well, she's not as isolated in using one power with someone and another with someone else. ]

Something like that. Some asshole stole my t-mog.

T-mog?

[No idea what that is but whatever. Ask later, help now. His brow furrows and whatever tension was left releases. No longer is there anger present but concern and, as always, curiosity.] Do you know where they took it?

[mysterzie]

Transmogrification.

[ She learned that shortening from her only friend ever. :D It's cool. But she huffs at the question and only looks more irritated. ]

They kept it. Probably put it away nice and fucking safe in one of their facilities or with their top dealers or something.

[Yeah, he's only starting to look more confused.]

This is going beyond my realm of understanding. Is there a way we can get it out?

Yeah, of course. I'd just... take it back. Take all of it. [ There's no way to pick and choose with multiple powers. Erin's forever grateful that they didn't manage to take her natural powers instead or she'd have been fucked. ] But it's not here.

So... other powers, maybe...

[ Talking about it is only making the need even worse. She's so empty right now, has to find something to take up that space. ]

Other powers... [Mattias glances down at the river, stroking his chin before turning back to Erin.]

It's better than nothing. How do we obtain them?

[ This is confusion and suspicion and a complete lack of trust. Erin is staring at Mattias because she has no idea what he really wants here. This sounds like a trap, something she shouldn't trust because it's only going to end up with her losing everything. ]

There's no we in it.

[Mattias squints, a puzzled smile forming as he tilts his head.]

Surely you need some help or you would have done it already.

[mysterzie]

People notice that shit.

[ She's confused at his reaction. She twists, backs up half a step so that her dress swishes in the water, watches Mattias like a caged animal. She isn't trapped, but she's stuck, and she hurts. ]

Because you gotta take them from people.

[Mattias, for his part, remains still, unsure how to take the news. Silence stretches into minutes as he puzzles until, finally, he cracks a wary grin.]

Well, surely it doesn't hurt them. Or... remove their powers completely.

[A beat. A bit less confidently:] ... Does it?

[mysterzie]

Nope. Doesn't hurt them.

[ She pauses. Everyone here is weird and she doesn't know what do to with the "remove their power completely" because that's the point. ]

Unless they've got more than one power, anyway, but that's... that's not normal.
