Some were, others just let the god's power spread where it would.

At the very least, they used whatever resources were available in the land that was affected. If they hadn't, it would've been idiotic.

[ She's so judgmental, wow. ]

But this place... I can't tell.

[He leans back, tilting his head towards her.]

How can you tell if the land is affected?

[amarant]

It has grass, or trees, other plants...if anything can live there, it's the god's land. I've never known of anyone who lived outside it.

So it looks just like this. That doesn't help.

[He sighs, falling back into the grass.] Perhaps it was meant to remain a mystery. A chance to enjoy nature's beauty as it is, so to speak.

Maybe if I kept walking, I'd find the place where it all stops.

I wonder, how far would that be?

No matter the distance, it'd be a lonely walk for certain.

[He folds his arms behind his head, smiling at her.]

Perhaps you'd accept some company.

Oh, you wouldn't mind?

[ She has some trouble remembering what she's told people, so he might just see her as a normal young girl. ]

It'd certainly be more pleasant...safer too.

[He laughs lightly, propping himself up.]

Flattered as I am that you apparently enjoy my company, I can't vouch for my skills at protection. We may be no safer than if you were alone. Conversation, though, that I can offer. Conversation and questions.

[Slumping back into the grass, he closes his eyes as a breeze rushes by.] It'd be nice to see the end of the world.

Conversation isn't bad either. In fact, almost as good as protection.

[ Looking kind of off into the distance. ]

And getting to see the end of the world might be even better.

Then it sounds like we have a proper tripped planned. Who's bringing the food?

[amarant]

I don't have any, but I have money...what do you like?

[noctiphile]

Everything. [He chuckles.] I'm simple.

[He waves a hand.] But you don't have to get me anything. I was joking. Mostly. I will dine on our conversation.

[amarant]

If we find fruit, we can eat that.

Unless you only need conversation to live?

[noctiphile]

[He laughs.]

I think if I were able to do that, I'd be quite happy.

[Shaking his head now.] No, fruit sounds fine. And I suppose I can afford to purchase some small meats and cheese.
