Er, what species? I will be terribly put out if they expect us to hunt pandas. Did you know those aren't even completely genuine bears? They're also related to raccoons. Dreadful, calling them bears for so many years and ingoring the nuance of the matter.

It's true, I saw a televsion special on it. Really, dear, they think they're more bear than raccoon but it's in the teeth, you know. There's a fossil record and all.

Then why are they called panda bears? If they were related to raccoons, they'd be called panda raccoons. Stands to reason.

Well, they look like bears, don't they? They named them back before there was all of this testing and such they can do to them. They didn't even know what DNA was back then, stands to reason they weren't fussed about looking at teeth.

Then why not re-name them, once they knew they were raccoons? Doesn't make sense.
