[Cole's not so much sidetracked from going back to his ship, but actively avoiding going back because he's really good at screwing things up with people. When he sees Beverly though, he gives her a smile back and tries his best to look as normally upbeat as he is, which he does pretty easily.]

Doctor Crusher, it's finally good to meet you in person. Hopefully you haven't had any problems with your new crew.

I haven't had any problems at all! Quite the reverse, my crew has been very welcoming, especially Sokka and Allen. Though, is it just me or do the demographics of our fleet skew a little... young?

Well, I'm glad to hear that you haven't had any problems. I did notice that the fleet does skew a little young though. Maybe they thought if they took those younger, their more volatile emotions would make better entertainment.

[And he shrugs. Of course, most people seem young to the a hundred and twenty year old demon, so he hasn't really paid all that much attention to this.]

I can understand not wanting to dwell on the thought that we're on television, all of our actions broadcast who knows where. We should be thankful that the younger members of the fleet seem to be dealing with the situation well.
