[It sure is a lovely day actually pretty much indeterminate time period out here in the vast darkness of space, isn't it? I bet everyone's enjoying themselves, getting a chance to get off their dinky little ship and stretch their legs. Even on this shitty, empty little waystation.

[ooc: hi everyone! I thought I'd give this a try and see how the game liked it. What we have here is a mass mingle post. Rather than everyone making a bunch of different posts about landing on the station, everyone is invited to post a parent comment with their character out and about, doing something. Everyone else is invited to look at who's posted, tag them, post their own parent comments, thread jack, tag around and generally have a grand old time! It should hopefully be a nice low-pressure way to do some action tagging with each other.

Please tag in if you feel so inclined! Don't be shy to tag around!]

With cards? [She glances at Emblica a little wide-eyed for a moment, just assessing and alert. The apertures open.] I guess so... I like games, and you can play a lot of them with cards. I like to do other things too, but these are a good start and they're cheap. [She's just practical.] Do you know any games?

Cards, or games. The only ones I know involve gambling, though.

So they wouldn't necessarily be "cheap."

Mm... well, we could just play with points. That'd be not so exciting, but all right for the time being. Later on, maybe we could actually gamble for things.

[amarant]

Points will be fine, until we don't have to choose between proper food and entertainment.

[ She'll have to make sure to stick to games of pure chance, so that she doesn't feel like she has an unfair advantage. ]

It's better for our crews, that way.

It'll still be fun. I love cards... [She smiles a little. She loves cards as said and has many nostalgic memories of playing games with friends and bonding via this game or that.]

What are you going to get?

It'll be nice to have something fun to look forward to.

[ Intimidating, somewhat, but nice. ]

Oh? [She blinks, mild surprise crossing her face... but that's a pretty reasonable request, so after a moment she nods.]

Sure... that's not a problem.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Not a lot of time, just...a few hours, maybe.

[ It's for your own good, Rin. ]

[If that's what Emblica wants, she'll do it even if it's a little odd. She's seen and been asked for weirder things.]

...I haven't been feeling well lately. I'd like to know so that I can rest a bit first.

[She makes as if to touch Emblica's shoulder... and then thinks better of it. They don't know each other that well yet. Rin smiles instead.]

Ah, well... of course I can do that. Don't worry.

I know it's a bit inconvenient, so if there's any way that I can make it up to you...just let me know.

[That just makes her stare in surprise.] It's not, really... [Especially if she can plan around it. Then she glances away from Emblica.]

Ah, I think that's where we can buy things. [So she makes her way in that direction.]

[ Well, she figured it would be!! ]

[ Oop, following, following... ]

[She glances back at Emblica and smiles... then turns to concentrate on her transaction. There's some kind of big computer screen with an automated voice to help her through this whole dumb process, and she puzzles through it all right. When she's finished she speaks to Emblica again.]

You don't have to be so apologetic, anyway... that's nothing.

[ It wouldn't have been a problem if she had met Rin sooner, which is part of what bothers her. It's frustrating. And it's probably weird to Rin, the request and her hiding her face... ]

[She doesn't really know what to say to that, especially because it doesn't seem like a big deal to her... she looks down and shrugs.]

That's not a lot to ask.

Not really... I didn't mean it like that. It's just not necessary.
