[It sure is a lovely day actually pretty much indeterminate time period out here in the vast darkness of space, isn't it? I bet everyone's enjoying themselves, getting a chance to get off their dinky little ship and stretch their legs. Even on this shitty, empty little waystation.

Where are you, droot flooters? What are you up to? Stay out of trouble, now.]

[ooc: hi everyone! I thought I'd give this a try and see how the game liked it. What we have here is a mass mingle post. Rather than everyone making a bunch of different posts about landing on the station, everyone is invited to post a parent comment with their character out and about, doing something. Everyone else is invited to look at who's posted, tag them, post their own parent comments, thread jack, tag around and generally have a grand old time! It should hopefully be a nice low-pressure way to do some action tagging with each other.

[ She deflects the kick with her forearm, even though she misjudged the power behind the kick a little and it hurts more than it should, but she's quick to attempt a counter, swinging out with her other hand in hopes of slamming her fist against the side of his knee. Her intention isn't really to cause him any injury so much as stun him with unpleasant, mild pain. ]

[ow. he winces a little--maybe more from disbelief than anything else. he instantly slows, drawing his leg back, but it's not a good kind of slow. it's predatory and calculating. it's the kind of motion you see in lions about to pounce.

he's got the same look she did--challenging. is she really going to start something?]

[ Cecil turns her body to face him more when she sees him transforming from guarded, borderline apathy to something much more quietly fierce, her muscles coiling up like springs in her body as she readies herself for an attack. She has her next move already planned out in her head and she's begun to tap into her magical powers as she prepares to do a quick casting of a spell, but she holds back on it for now and simply meets his gaze with firm resolve. She's not going to back down, but nor is she going to seriously attack him over nothing. ]

[he waits. seconds tick by while he weighs his options. nothing would make him happier than beating her into submission, but it would come with too many... complications.

his hiss is short and sharp and irritated while he stands and, very abruptly, walks away from her. he's going back into his ship. he doesn't want to deal with this.]
