[It sure is a lovely day actually pretty much indeterminate time period out here in the vast darkness of space, isn't it? I bet everyone's enjoying themselves, getting a chance to get off their dinky little ship and stretch their legs. Even on this shitty, empty little waystation.

[ooc: hi everyone! I thought I'd give this a try and see how the game liked it. What we have here is a mass mingle post. Rather than everyone making a bunch of different posts about landing on the station, everyone is invited to post a parent comment with their character out and about, doing something. Everyone else is invited to look at who's posted, tag them, post their own parent comments, thread jack, tag around and generally have a grand old time! It should hopefully be a nice low-pressure way to do some action tagging with each other.

So, is this hard to do if you've never looked at an elf before?

[Cheap-ass bastards. If they outfitted her with a lab, why not new pens? But she's bringing over whatever passes for a reflex-testing mallet one of these days and starting to go through tapping at him, studying his musculature discretely as she does, seeing if there's any differences between him and a straight-up human.]

Oh, not really. The augment helps, and you're not so different from a human so far.

[seems more like a subspecies of human than anything too wildly different. though, his reflexes and general structure seem very good--probably far better than they should be, considering his... lifestyle.]

Yeah, the biggest differences are, like... it's harder for us to get sick and stuff. And they say that we're more 'graceful' or whatever.

And then there's how our eyes work, I guess. Like, with memory and stuff.

They explained it like how our eyes and brain work together is really good, even when the rest of it isn't paying attention. [--or is intoxicated to high heaven.
