Since he got assigned to a ship already!
Who: Yuri and YOU!
Broadcast:Network-unfiltered
Action: On the Twin Roses
When:After the shuffle
[When the video comes on this time, Yuri has a different background behind him and he looks calmer. He's more energetic and his voice sounds more confident as he begins.]
Hello again, everyone. Thanks to everybody who reached out to me when I first got here. I'm on the Twin Roses now so if you want to find me, here I am! In the meantime, I guess we should all figure out something to do here. This ship is pretty nice and all but I wonder if there's a place someone can skate? Victor didn't mention any place he found yet so maybe someone else knows a place to ice skate. Or dance. That would work too!
What do you do around here, guys? What's the best thing?

I'll be on the Twin Roses soon, okay? I can't wait to see you.
[Then he goes about finding a shuttle which will get him to the Twin Roses.]
no subject
Victor! Alright, I'll stay right here! I can't wait to see you either. How are you going to get here? Can you use the shuttle?
[He just waits eagerly like a child in a train station. Is he here yet? How about now? How about noooow?]

You be careful, okay? Don't talk to me, focus on flying.

See you soon. [And then he leaves the network to focus on getting to the ship. It takes longer than he'd like but eventually he's on the Twin Roses and looking for Yuri.]

[And he's trying to be patient but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't counting the minutes. He started pacing back and forth and looking out the windows for Victor until he heard footsteps. His ears perked. Could it be? Was it one of his crewmates?]
Victor? [he hurried after the sound.]
Victor?? Is that you? [If it is he's getting a big hug, Yuri can't wait to see him, he needs to see one familiar face right now.]
no subject
Yuri... [His voice is soft as he takes in how it feels to have Yuri with him again.]
I'm so glad it's really you.

Action
Hm. There you are. [Not actually a greeting, Kitty.] Welcome to the Twin Roses. [Better.]
no subject
Hello. Good to meet you, you must have heard my post. I'm Yuri Katsuki. What's your name?
[She's got something going on. He can see the signs of distress in the pajamas she wears at this hour. He's been there. He gets it... but he wonders what her deal is. He looks her up and down and gestures to a seat near him.]
Is everything alright? Do you want to sit?
no subject
Doesn't sound like you were on the Marsiva long. Was anyone else on the ship? [She hadn't seen reports of any other new arrivals.]
no subject
Oh, no... the Marsiva was empty except for me. I didn't stay long at all, I was here before I knew it. Is that not normal or something?
Can I ask you about this place?
no subject
I didn't stay on the Marsiva long either, but I had a lot of company. That kind of thing just ebbs and flows though.
Ask away.
no subject
I can get coffee if you want. I played with the kitchen tools... I figured that much out. Do you want some? [he's trying to be helpful and to maybe understand what happened to her.]
I guess I was a loner when I came. It's strange, my coach and my... [He can't call Victor his friend, they are more than that but he doesn't know what word to use.] Victor, he and I were together. But he's here now and he was here almost a month before I got here. How can that be? It's so... I guess trying to figure it out is useless.
Thank you... well do you know anything about this place? Who brought us here and why? How did we get here? Where are we going? How is the crew decided? How long have you been here?

/crawls away from wedding shenanigans/ hello again, how was your week?
it was full of taking an accidental hiatus, so you tagged just in time!
And then I went away again. Should be smooth sailing for me now.
hehe, no worries

action!
[Chuuya thinks this is perfect timing, as he has just returned from doing a little shopping.]
I don't know where you can skate, but I do know there was a dance hall at the ball that was held recently. I'm not sure if there's one easily accessible on the fleet, however.
[He reaches for a glass in the kitchen.]
Not sure what the others do, since I'm out most of the time, but when I'm here I like having a glass of wine and staring out the windows. We have a great view!
no subject
A dance hall? Well I can do that too, ballet is fine... hey I remember you. [he trails after him to the kitchen area.]
Yeah, it's a great view [When it doesn't make you anxious to think about it] but where do you go when you're 'out' if you don't mind me asking? You have shopping bags? Can you tell me how that works? Do we have money here? Do we earn it?
no subject
I go out to do different jobs, of course!
[He sets his bags and the glass down on the counter, leaning on it.]
Jobs can be found on the ship or our current destination. And do you remember the reality TV show thing we talked about earlier? You get credits that way too.
[He gestures towards Yuri.]
I bet when you're able to do some ice skating, you'll get a lot of hits. You said you won silver and all, so you must be a pretty big deal.
no subject
[Well lucky Yuri. He might not handle being snapped at very well at the moment. Although he might find it comforting too, it would remind him of Yurio... anyway, Chuuya is talking and things are sort of making sense.]
Jobs? Like what kind of jobs, may I ask?
Oh... right... the show. [He hangs his head.] I try not to think about that. But yeah, I'm a figure skater. I did win silver. Victor wants me to win gold, I want to win gold too. He wants five medals, I just want one but... I'm nobody special, I'm just one of the dime-a-dozen skaters qualified by the JSF. [Haha, no he isn't]
But is there a place to skate around here?
no subject
[Despite his version of "normal jobs" being different than others, but he didn't talk about that sort of thing.]
Who knows? Maybe eventually we'll come to a planet that's made entirely of ice.
[Not that he wants that, but it's still probably true, he's sure.]
no subject
[He can do some of those things. He could look into it, maybe even do it.]
Oh, an ice world sounds horrific. It won't be smooth ice either, wouldn't it be glaciers and snow? No thanks. Makes me shiver just thinking about it.
Where did you get the wine?

video;
[ Because of course he had already met Victor. He quite liked the man actually, and he was glad that Victor wasn't the loner from his world. Victor didn't seem the type to deal well with loneliness. ]
I think there might be a dance studio on the Iskaulit actually. No ice rink, unfortunately.
no subject
[He assumes most people in his world live their whole lives without ever learning what he now knows. It's not an enjoyable revelation, it's disturbing.]
A dance studio? On the... Iskaulit. Is that the weird looking ship that nobody lives on?
Ah... I didn't catch your name.
no subject
Worlds - planets: different words for the same thing. I'm technically from a different time period than you on an Earth, but there's no telling if we're from the same one, either.
[ He can see how it would be a lot to take in, mind-shattering, even. Hell, he had gone up against an entire race of religious zealots who had been broken by that very thing. ]
Yeah, that's right. It's basically the recreation ship - we have some bars, a religious center if you care for that, a garden last I checked, and yeah, a dance studio.
Oh, I'm James Tiberius Kirk, but Jim will do fine. Or Kirk. I answer to both.
no subject
[He isn't going to lose his mind, this is just a big BIG adjustment for him. He needs time and understanding.]
Dance is the next best thing to skating. That'll work, thanks Jim... so what is your world like?
no subject
2263.
[ Totally straight face. It's easy because he's not lying. ]
Well, it's an Earth, but we're part of the United Federation of Planets, and the HQ for Star Fleet, which is whom I worked for before I was brought here. It's a space exploration and humanitarian organization. So, Earth is peaceful, for the most part, but most of the politics now involve dealing with interplanetary trade and immigration.
I couldn't say what's important at the moment - I hadn't been back in three years before I came here.
no subject
Twenty... two..... oh god.
Wait wait... so... You're from the future. Humanity goes to space. That's... that's good.
We know aliens. There are aliens?? [This is a bigger deeper conversation than he expected to have here.]
So you live on another planet or...?
