Who: Five lions and a rock
Broadcast: No
Action: On the Iskaulit
When: Beginning of the month
[Seeing the destruction of the planet has been hard on everyone, but it definitely has a specially bad effect on this particular group. Losing a planet like this is what the pilots fight to avoid, what Shay almost got through. It's incredibly frustrating.
So add that to the fact they aren't all living in the same ship like it happens at home, and well. These little family is some serious need of bonding time. Just making a pile of astroexplorers and letting them bask in each other's comfort.
That's how they end up having a sleepover on the Iskaulit, the lecture hall to be more precise. They push away tables and chairs, scatter all the pillows and blankets they brought from their own ships, and get comfy for a night with friends.
There are snacks (courtesy of Hunk of course), some non-alcoholic drinks (while Shiro wouldn't mind them drinking a bit, he thinks them being kinda down is not a good moment for that) and probably some games that could go funny enough... or an absolute mess when their augments decide to glitch.
Watch out for the pillow fight. Shiro plays to win.]

[Lance is more than grateful when Shiro suggests that they have a sleepover. It's been a tough last two or so weeks, what with the whole planet destruction and people dying and plenty of things that plague Lance with insomnia and nightmares. To get the whole team back together again (plus Shay!) is something he knows will help all of them. He's missed them being on the same ship.
(It's good to have Shiro on the Blameless, but it still feels too quiet, and Lance hates quiet.)
The pillows and blankets serve as a nice cushiony floor to roll around and huddle up in, and that's just what he'll do. Sorry if he ends up knocking into you or accidentally tripping you while making himself a blanket burrito. He'll also flit from person to person, happily chatting them up.]
[B]
[Recently, Lance played a game, and he wants to pull the others into it. This time,
unfortunatelywith no alcohol. But he still thinks they'll have a fun time, and learn more about each other. Take that, Allura, they don't need to pass out in the training room to have bonding moments! There's a catch, however, that's discovered soon after they start the game. Any time a person lies, a tally mark appears on their face. Nothing like some good ol' fashioned glitches to make sure the truth is being told.
Anyone up to play Never Have I Ever with him?]
[C]
[Wildcard! Anything you want. Poke the danger noodle.]
[ooc: The truth glitch is available for non-game things for Lance, too! Make him wish the drinks were alcoholic so he can drown himself in his embarrassment.]
[A]
Are you planning to take all the blankets?
no subject
Can't I just have enough of them for this? You're missing out, you know!

Though playing it here has the added bonus of her getting to lay down on the floor with a pillow clutched to her chest, looking upside-down at her friends while she talks.]
Okay, here. Never have I ever caused a crash in the flight simulator.
no subject
[He gives Pidge a Look. The point of the game is to bond and find out people's dirty secrets, not attack them, damnit! But he takes a drink.]
Where's your sip too, huh? I wasn't the only one who crashed that thing!
no subject
I said I've never caused the crash. Ninety percent of our flight sim failures were because of you trying to show off.

She watches him move with her head tilted slightly to the side, yellow eyes blinking slowly.]

[He grins up at her from his blanket burrito. Lance would give a wave if his arms weren't currently, y'know, trapped in said blankets.]
Enjoying your first Voltron slumber party?
no subject
The other reason is that they've all been through some shit lately. Some of them more than others. And even though Pidge isn't exactly the best person to go to for some comfort and reassurance, she's going to try. It's easier with some of her friends than it is with others, but still. The effort is being made.
Even if it may not necessarily look like it, considering Pidge keeps bringing her snacks and drinks back to what she's clearly claimed as Her Spot and just sitting there for minutes at a time, with or without company. She's not hoarding the things she likes per se, but... she's kind of hoarding the things she likes.]
no subject
It feels as though we have not seen each other for some time. Are you well?
no subject
I am, thanks. [Her smile turns a bit sheepish and apologetic.] What about you? Enjoying our little mini-party?
no subject
[This sort of sleepover is certainly not a tradition that Shay is familiar with, but she is enjoying herself all the same. After the disaster with Lyuku and the resulting wave of homesickness, it's nice to spend some time with friends and get to know Voltron's crew a bit better. While she does fit in with them better than other groups, she's still not very close to all of them and would like to get to know them better.
Her current spot at the moment is at the snack table, sampling the food and drink with interest. It's certainly no cave bug soup, but it is delicious, and sharing it with friends is even better.]
B
[The downside to essentially being a talking rock is that, well...Shay is solid. Her skin is craggy, her body dense, and unfortunately, the pillows aren't standing up well to that. She plops down to sit, and instead, several pillows explode under the pressure, sending feathers and fluff in every direction. Shay blushes, embarrassed.]
Oh no, I am so sorry! I did not realize...I will fix it!
C
[Wildcard! Open with your own prompt]
B
It's okay, Shay. We brought plenty. And, knowing a certain Black Paladin, those won't be the last ones that get destroyed tonight.
[Keith had a feeling Shiro was itching for a pillow fight.]
no subject
[Of course there is a pillow fight, what else would he expect of his team? It seems every time they have some down time together they end having some kind of fighting game. This time, Shiro is quicker to join in that he did at home - there's no mission to think of after all.
Unlike food or squishy asteroids though, pillow fight is closed ranged. Which means... Shiro is kicking their asses.
And not caring in the least. Look at this cocky grin!]
You can try coming at me all together if you want. [It. Is. ON!]
B.
[Truth or dare, Never Have I Ever, whatever, they try many things. But with the markings appearing on their faces? After a while they just give up on following any kind of games and rules, and just throw questions at each other. It's awkward at first, but soon they're all comfortably making a pile of cats (and rock) and sharing their life with family.
And now it's Shiro's turn to make a question... mmh.]
Are you enjoying your time here in the fleet?
B
[By now, he's feeling even more relaxed, and a little more open. That he trusts Shiro so much helps in him talking more.]
Honestly, I missed just being a teenager.
no subject
[Being entertainment doesn't exactly amuse him, but he can't deny what Lance just said. He's noticed, too.]
I'm glad something good is coming out of this. Being a teenager is what you should be doing at your age, not fighting a war. [He shakes his head - damn, this is not the topic he should be bringing up in this happy meeting.] Sorry. It's your turn now.
no subject
Okay, sooooo... Other than getting to relax, is there anything particular here you're grateful for over being back home?

[It was taking a bit for Keith to get into the whole party mindset. He was having trouble letting go of everything, so he started everything off by making himself a spot up against a wall. He wasn't in a corner, but he was close to it, and had wrapped himself up in a blanket and claimed a few pillows for himself... as well as some snacks and a drink.
He was going to need some encouragement to really get involved.]
=====

[Of course, Mr Competitive was going to respond to a pillow fight challenge.
Bring. It. On.
Shiro wasn't the only one who played to win.]
=====
c
[And, of course, there were other games to play. Questions? Ask away. Never Have I Ever? Take him on. Keith wasn't good at initiating things, but he wasn't adverse to joining in if it meant being able to get his mind off things for a while.]
=====

[At some point, Keith would sneak off for a bit to the back corner where the broken panel was hiding all the accumulated information so far. He was adding what he had gathered on the dreams, and also looking into anything anyone might have added since his last visit, trying to see if there was anything he should bring back to his own work board on the Huntress.
Don't let him work all night, okay?]
/gives the D
Hey. Hey. You. Notebook down.
you would ;)
[Keith sputtered a little as he was suddenly covered in a blanket. Flustered, he scrambled to remove it.]

[Backdated to the day before they arrive to the Hannibal system]
His chest burns, and he kept his poker face back in her room for too long, he needs an outlet. Patience yields focus, his mind provides, and that's how he ends up playing up the leader, the scolding dad like Lance likes calling him, and there's no way this can end well, but he's a bit emotionally compromised at the moment. Usually not a problem -in control at all times, Allura said- but he's been bottling up too much. Even Shiro's patience has a limit. It's not even about his feelings, no, at least not completely - it's about confronting the reality of what he can't have.
He never does well when it comes to dealing with himself.
Turns out, they're all together in Keith's room. Huh, weird. He can hear their voices as he comes closer and--- they're talking about the future plans? Because apparently Lance saw him go to Kate's room. Oh, for quiznak's sake.]
ENOUGH! [The door is slammed opened, his mood even worse now. Is this what they're getting together for? To gossip about his (lack of) love life?] What exactly do you think you're doing, Paladins?
no subject
He just didn't realize how much until the door suddenly opened at full force with a very angry Shiro. Keith froze. He hadn't seen him this angry in a long time. Once he got his head back on, he pushed off the bed, almost launching himself to land between Shiro and the others.]
Look, Shiro. I can explain, okay? We didn't mean anything it.
no subject
Of course, he didn't think of everything; namely, the potential of this blowing up in all of their faces as it seems to be doing now. Lance gives a little yelp before scrambling off the bed himself.]

[Hunk was all about this party. Not only did he get to create this glorious spread of snacks, but the whole gang was together again! It was like old times back at the Castle. Kinda. If only for a short evening. And boy, he really needed this after what happened. Hovering by the food for a bit, gathering himself a healthy helping, Hunk drifted around to find a cozy place to sit and chit chat.
Everyone beware, he is in a hugging mood for anyone who dares to approach.]
[B]
[Party games? Sign him up! Never Have I Ever, sure! Truth or Dare, bring it on!… He’s game.]
[C]
[Okay, okay, so you got your Truth or Dare and pillow fights, sure. But are you ready to take on a serious challenge? Come one, come all and put your money where your mouth is!
Literally.
Now accepting new challengers in a cupcake eating contest! If you can stomach it.]
