When: Within the first couple of days that the planet shows up.

[holy shit you guys there is a planet, like, an actual planet now. what are you gonna do? get out and look? marvel at the locals? search for aliens? stand around your ship and questioning every life choice you've made up until this point? hang around in orbit because planets are for squares?

this is mostly for early stuff, so please feel free to make your own posts in the next couple of weeks with more planet (or station, or ship!) shenanigans.]

[and really, that sort of thinking works out for everyone, because Tek isn't particularly repentant about it.

Tek is dressed well, of course... which amounts to him wearing the exact same thing he arrived in, since he doesn't have anything else. but his face is done up nice, so there's that, at least.

when he finally spots Robin, he doesn't hurry or announce himself. he'll amble over with as much nonchalance as he can, leaving plenty of time for Robin to react or make whatever kind of first move he's feeling like. he'd like room to observe and judge before he gets too close.]

[he's in his nice (starting) clothes too, carefully cared for since he figured out they wouldn't get new ones any time soon... and his hair is back to the right color, even if it's suffered a little for it. it's a small price to pay to get back to normal.

when he spots Tek coming his way, he turns and regards him with a sort of... casual interest. he looks him over, not trying to hide his evaluation. at least Robin doesn't look angry or upset, just... thinking.

eventually, he nods. a lazy greeting.]

Do you mind if I skip right to the important part?

[he stops a casual distance away, since their new lines have yet to be defined.

he likes the newness in this already. starting over indeed. it could go anywhere, and he's enjoying this fact.]

[he hasn't actually seen him here, yet. not really. the first time he said hello, he got shot in the face, and the whole thing is still a little fuzzy--so it doesn't count.

at least Robin's not crazy this time. he's not seconds from bursting into tears. he's not working himself into a frenzy. in fact, he stuffs his hands in his pockets, speaking plainly.]

You shot me in the face. I'm a little upset.

Understandable.

[he sort of mimics the posture, relaxing where he stands. he's not feeling much of anything yet, in a very general sense, and that already feels better.

Robin's not crazy, and neither is he. there isn't that gnawing, bitter, aggressive thing pushing him to destroy what's in front of him anymore. and that's probably what gets him to smile. recognizing that he feels just a little freed.]

...Are you waiting for an apology, or something else?

[he laughs, though it's short.]

I'll accept an apology in the form of hair dye, which you owe me.

[ha, his eyebrows raise]

That's all it will take? I thought you would at least demand that I take you to dinner or something.

Oh, you still owe me that from our time at the tower.

[which seems to decide something for him; he sidles on up, snaking his way around one of Tek's arms. it's a very cute way of holding him hostage.]

But if you're thinking of paying up now, I wouldn't be opposed.

[and he is a willing captive. it feels like a person hanging on his arm and not a burden. and all he has to do is call up the memory of pulling the trigger if it starts.]

Do I? And what was that for? My memory fails me.

You know, the obscene amount of money you owe me.

[he will start them walking, if no one objects.]

[he follows along just fine, going for a casual stroll like nothing in the world could be wrong]

I don't know what you could be talking about. Are you sure it wasn't the other way around?

After all those dinners I bought you? Money I let you borrow? Don't try arguing this one.

[this is nice! this is definitely what he wanted. he will forgive being shot in the face.]

I'm pretty sure the nature of our arrangement precluded me from owing you anything.

[see? it was a great idea. he's fixed everything. especially if they never talk about it.]

What did I just say about arguing? Honestly...

[he rolls his eyes...]

I should say you owe me twice, for the number of holes you put in my head.

Wouldn't you rather I take you out to dinner because I want to, and not because I owe you?

Do you want to?

[as he raises an eyebrow skeptically...]

Not if you're going to make it weird.

[he bumps him a little. a cute little shove. :3c]

Two new worlds, and you're still a huge pain...

[he shifts his weight with it, leaning a little more when he returns to his centered place]

Oh please. You're one to talk.

[ew. he stoops just so that he can press his cheek into Tek's arm.]

I won't make it weird.

[gross. he nods toward the center of town.]

Then, where would you like to go? Lead the way.

Everywhere seems about the same, unfortunately...

[he separates from Tek a little while he thinks... it's not like there's a whole lot of variety in the food or the setting... or the quality...]

There's one with a nice view, though. I'll lead.

A nice view of desert or of town?

[he sounds skeptical of either, really. the whole place is pretty ugly to him.]

Okay, it's a better view. Of the town.

[but he'll take him that way anyway.]

[he seems satisfied with this. people-watching is pretty great.]

Their faces are nice, at least.

[and then he tips his head back so he can smile at Robin]

...I almost dressed up to match, you know.
