[He doesn't appear immediately on the Caprine, of course. First he's rudely deposited onto the hospitality deck of the Marsiva, but although he grasps the reality of the situation quickly enough it takes some time to process it all - the uncovered memories of his time here, the juxtaposition of his new situation with the events at home, and then a crushing disappointment as he scans over his newly-acquired communicator and realizes he can't put in a transfer to the Windrose, because his ship doesn't seem to exist anymore.

So that's how it's going to be.

He figures it won't be long before he's assigned to a new ship, and sure enough he's popped over to the Caprine in all his maroon-skinned android glory. He shakes the confetti off and pulls up a video broadcast.]

Good evening, members of the Fleet. I am the Vision, recently of twenty-first century Earth and one of the Avengers, if that means anything to anyone. [Yes, he's still technically an Avenger, even if he's been a bit AWOL lately.] If there's anyone here who knows me, I'd like very much to know that you're here, and please don't hesitate to ask me if you'd like anything from me. I seem to be on the Caprine this time around.

[And then he looks a little wistful.

Does anyone know how long it's been since I was here last? It's been two years for me subjectively, but I'm aware that often has little to do with time passing in the Fleet. I was on the Windrose. [Captain of it, in fact.]

[She looks a little different than he'll last remember - her hair's still brown, not the pumpkin color she'd dyed it to go into hiding.]

[Different or not, the warmth in his voice is real, as is his smile.]

I'm glad to see you, despite the circumstance.

[She might not be his Wanda--or she might not be her just yet. If there's one thing he remembers about this place, it's that time is mutable. And even if she's as different as can be, the sentiment remains. He's truly glad she's here.]

As I recall, the Atroma does seem to like us, for whatever reasons it claims to have. May I ask if you've been here long?

A long damn time. [She smiles at him. She feels unexpectedly moved to see him again and to hear that he remembers his time here. Everyone who had been on the ship before her had disappeared but Makie came back and now Vision. Actually, Wrath had too, but she's gone again. Kitty should probably worry more that they weren't in their own worlds, but she's been playing these games a very long time and who can bother with disclaimers anymore? It's always good to see family.] But welcome back.

We had some technical difficulties with the Windrose. Remember the Three Twins? We got locked out of the controls and the ships were set on a collision course and then suddenly we became the Twin Roses instead of just all dying.

It's good to see you, Kitty. [And it is, judging by his sudden smile. He wasn't sure there'd be any of his friends from other worlds here, especially with his ship gone. At the explanation, he looks concerned.]

I--am certainly glad the ships didn't truly collide, but that seems rather--

[Words fail him for a moment.]

I suppose our hosts didn't provide an explanation for their violation of the laws of physics?

[Bruce recognizes the ship behind Vision and after some trial and error manages to find the Avenger, admittedly awkwardly once he realizes he doesn't know what to say to him. He approaches with the usual slightly uneasy step, waving with a quick gesture for good measure.]

[The Vision looks up from his communicator and a look of genuine surprise flashes over his features. Now here's someone he hasn't seen in...a lifetime.]

Dr. Banner?

[No, it's definitely him.]

I'd apologize for intruding upon your ship, but our hosts will do as they will, I'm afraid. May I say it's a pleasure to see you?

It's a fair question. Simply "Vision" is fine. [Not that he could stop her if she wanted to call him something else, really.]

[Because he does count all of his old crew as his friends, even if he and Makie weren't particularly close.]

A similar length to my time at home, then. [This must be the Bucky--Winter--that was Wrath's friend. Strange how that association here has been so different than the brief fight when they'd seen each other at home. Here he'd come to know the man's situation much more fully, if still mostly by proxy.

And considering the man was still in hiding at home, it would be rude to ask if he had any more recent memories, wouldn't it?]

Does the situation here remain largely the same? Or have out hosts revealed more of themselves in the meantime?

[another new (old?) one . . . the once tiny Caprine is growing again. She makes her way to the deck to greet Vision properly, as a good captain should (when she remembers that's what she is, at least). She slips her communicator in her pocket as she arrives]

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the Avengers outside of what people speak about here on the network. [and even then, she doesn't know much] I hope those who do give you a prompt answer.

[That neatly answered two questions for him, and he nods.] I'll be happy to discuss it with you once we're in a secure location.

[Because really, with Natasha? You can either try and fail to keep a secret from her, which makes her mad, or you can ask her to keep a secret for you, which she will unless she has a very good reason not to.

And then he smiles, because she really is one of his favorite people.]

I'm glad to see you as well. Which ship are you on these days?

[ Damn, this is way too familiar of a feeling. The Capitol'd loved to do this, too, gather up any version of the Avengers it could find, push them together and tear them apart and bring them back. Sam's pretty much adjusted to the idea that this isn't the Capitol, but it's times like this that make it a little harder. ]

Had something like that happen to me, last place I was at. Came back with a bunch of new memories and no time at all passed. [ One of them being Vision, and being on a team with him and the rest of the Avengers. ] ...hey. It's been a little while, for me.

[Boy, it's getting busy in the Fleet lately with all these Avengers. There's something of a concern in that, Thor thinks, the increasing abduction of those with connections to each other. But right now that takes second seat to the fact that he hasn't seen Vision in years. He's glad to see him, lousy kidnapping or not.

Vision may look the same to Thor's eyes, but the reverse isn't true. When he opens the feed Vision will be greeted with a Thor who's missing most of his hair and wearing an eye patch. Still, he looks pleased enough.]

I don't know how long it's been here, but for me it's been a couple of years since I last saw you!

[Indeed, it takes him a moment to place that face--but only until Thor starts to speak, and then the vision gets a grin of pure pleasure.]

As it has been for me. It's good to see you, my friend. Though it seems you've been rather busy in the meantime?

Well, you seem to be a lot more with it than the usual new passengers.

[Although since he remembers being with the Fleet before, that makes sense.]

I see the other me has already dropped in to say hi. But if you've been here before, you're probably more used to the double stuff than I am.

To an extent, yes. [Is he replying to the "more with it" or the "used to doubles"? Both, as it happens, and he smiles a bit at Sam in acknowledgment.]

Though it's still something of a surprise each time. It's good to see you, Sam. How have you been, here in the Fleet?

[ Kurt might look a little different than he did; he's certainly less gaunt than he was when he arrived, and he's nearly at what he'd consider fighting weight.

(His fur hasn't been this healthy since he was a child.)

He also has a gentle smile, small though it is, for Vision. ] Oh Captain, my Captain, our fearful trip is not yet done, it seems.
