broadcast intro and action
Who: Veronica
Broadcast: open network
Action: Iskaulit and Blue Fish
When: network - friday. action - saturday
Broadcast / Action to anyone on the Marsiva
[Veronica wakes with a distinct feeling of wrongness. The camera zooms in as blue eyes open, a frown already on her face. She sits up slowly, the covers falling off and pooling at her hips to reveal she's in standard Garrison uniform, the typical attire of an officer. Rubbing at her face, she looks to the side to spot her glasses and quickly jams them on.
Her frown deepens.] Where...am I...?
[Veronica slides out of bed, to find her shoes tucked neatly beside the bed. Frowning at them, she goes barefoot for now, instead running down the hallway and feeling cold metal under her feet.]
Hello? Is anyone there?
Action - Iskaulit & Blue Fish
[Veronica can be found wandering the Iskaulit and the S.S. Blue Fish restlessly. She's a hot mess of emotions, unsure how to deal with everything that is going on right now, and her first priority is just to become familiar with her surroundings. Most everything she would be interested in is on the Iskaulit, it seems, so this is where she starts.
She'll most often be pacing, but if you're lucky, you might catch her frowning and poking at her communicator, trying to make it function in some way like what she's used to. She wants more information, maybe this can help.]

There you are.
no subject
[She's here. Veronica. His sister. His family. She's here, standing right in front of him. He can't wait another moment, and practically launches himself at her, dragging her into a tight hug.]
It's you... It's r-really you!
no subject
It's really me. [She laughs.] And you're the hero himself.
no subject
Part of a world he sometimes thought he might never see again.
Lance holds her tighter, shoulders shaking a little.]
'm no hero, Veronica... I'm still just your dumb little brother.
no subject
[He's breaking her heart. She holds him tighter, one hand instinctively going to stroke his hair. He's not so little anymore, not so easy to hold or carry to bed, or steal his socks and tickle his feet. But he's her best friend. He's a man now, one who she can rely on to protect her, and it's...strange. She's still so used to protecting him.]
Shh, hermanito. You're my hero.
no subject
I can't believe... I get to see you again. I missed you so much, so much! There hasn't been a single day that I haven't thought about you and everyone else. It's so hard, not having been able to say goodbye, knowing that I left everyone not knowing what happened to me, worrying you all.
no subject
It's okay, Lance. None of that matters anymore.
no subject
[He remains there for a little longer, taking that comfort. Eventually he pulls away and rubs the tears off of his face.]
Whew. Okay. Needed to get all of that out.
no subject
[She continues to hold him, stroking absently at his hair and smiling. She's missed this, even if it hasn't been too long. It feels good to have her little brother at her side again.]
Glad you did. Sometimes all you need is a good cry.
no subject
[He hums, not quite pulling away yet. Lance is a sucker for physical comfort, after all, and he wants to stay close to his sister right now.]
So, uh, how are you adjusting so far?
no subject
[Veronica laughs sheepishly.] I'm...struggling to believe all of this. I mean, I've seen strange, very strange, but this is something else.
no subject
[He finally pulls away, wiping a little at his eyes.]
All we can do is just live day to day. And try to figure out just what the quiznak is going on with this place, but it's really, really slow going.

no subject
[God. He really. Really. Misses him.]
And Allura, of course! She arrived a few weeks ago.
no subject
We don't have time for this. Playing someone else's stupid mind game... We've got a war to deal with, Lance. We need to go home.
no subject
[He gives a little shrug.]
no subject
[She finally snaps, whirling around on her heel and dropping her head into her hands.]
no subject
[He feels something tighten up in his chest. People have died? Wait, are their parents part of that? What happened? Why?]
no subject
..Nothing. Just forget I said anything.
no subject
[He grabs her shoulder, spinning her around.]
no subject
no subject
[Lance trails off, unable to finish the question. What's going to happen? Who's going to die on Earth, and most importantly, why wasn't he there to stop it?]
no subject
no subject
Whatever it was, he must have not been there for.]
Veronica, I... I'm sorry...
no subject
[Veronica lets out a long breath and removes her glasses to clean them.]
...Is there somewhere we can get a drink or something?
